'RHOC' Tamra Judge Reveals 'Some Progress' With Estranged Daughter

Tamra Judge is sharing a hopeful update about the progress in her relationship with her estranged daughter, Sidney.

A longtime fan favorite on the "Real Housewives of Orange County," Judge has faced considerable drama both on and off-screen. One of her most personal challenges has been her complicated relationship with Sidney.

This unfolding journey might be showcased on RHOC, particularly since she returned for its 17th season in 2022. Tamra Judge's recent comments suggest there might be light at the end of the tunnel. 

Judge shares Sidney, son Spencer, and daughter Sophia with her ex-husband Simon Barney, along with her son Ryan, with ex-husband Darren Vieth.

The reality star previously opened up about the emotional turmoil following her contentious 2011 divorce from Barney, during which Sidney chose to side with her father.

This created a rift that has taken time to potentially heal. Despite the ongoing estrangement, Judge remains hopeful that reconciliation is possible.

In a recent interview with Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea" podcast, the 56-year-old shared, "She is reaching out to her brother and sister now, so that's good news. So we do have some progress."

During the podcast, an appearance that coincided with the launch of Season 18 of "RHOC," Judge expressed her hope for more. 

While the TV personality is proud of her eldest child's accomplishments from afar, her ultimate wish is to reunite fully with Sidney. In her words, "I mean, I can wish for more, but it's in God's hands really, God's timing."

Judge may have been dealing with the emotional challenge of her daughter's estrangement, but that did not stop her from thrilling fans with her comeback.

In 2022, The Blast reported that the "Real Housewives of Orange County" star would return for the show's season 17 after she left in 2020.

To make the announcement, Judge took to Twitter to share a brief video that undoubtedly caused excitement. The clip featured the mother-of-four in a striking blue dress, posing in front of a green screen. 

She paired the outfit with a bracelet, multiple rings, and heels, with her blond hair framing her face. The short clip began with Judge turning to face the camera sultrily and was captioned, "The Judge is back and drama's in session. 🍑 #RHOC #Season17.”

The businesswoman's name was practically synonymous with drama on "ROHC."  Fans were introduced to her fiery personality in season three, and she quickly became a franchise favorite.  

But her journey on the show was not always smooth sailing. It was marked by iconic moments and a controversial exit. Judge wasted no time establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with.  

From chasing down Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers to hiding from Kelly Dodd in the bushes, she delivered unforgettable entertainment season after season.  

Judge did not just stop at the drama; she also gifted the show its first-ever wine toss, a move that solidified her place in "RHOC" history.  

Her on-screen presence extended beyond the main series, with a three-episode spinoff, "Tamra's OC Wedding," chronicling her 2013 nuptials to husband Eddie Judge.

After 12 years of delivering non-stop entertainment, the star announced her departure from the show. At the time, The Blast reported that Judge later revealed that Bravo had fired her for demanding too much money.

Despite her return to "ROHC," Judge faced another serious situation at home: her daughter Sophia's mental health after a terrifying incident at school.

The actress opened up about Sophia's fear of returning to school following a gunman entering the educational establishment. 

While no one was physically harmed, the incident left the teenager deeply shaken, prompting her to declare she never wanted to set foot on the campus again.

The Blast reported that the 18-year-old's high school went into lockdown when an armed man entered the premises during school hours. The staff and students went and hid, but the experience left an intense impact on the youngster. 

The reality star recounted the distressing moments via her Instagram Story. She posted a screenshot of a chilling message from her daughter that read, "Not a drill… We're being locked in the classes with the lights off."

Sophia also informed her worried mother that she was "hiding right now" and could hear police sirens but was uncertain if there was an active shooter.

Providing more details after the incident, the professional fitness coach expressed her frustration and helplessness. 

"You get the text, and you're so helpless. There's nothing you can do in this fu-king world. I'm so sick of it. I'm so sick of what's going on. My daughter now doesn't want to go back to school. It's her senior year. It's got to stop!" Judge exclaimed.

She revealed that students had to barricade themselves in classrooms using bookshelves while teachers armed themselves with makeshift weapons to protect the students if necessary.
