In early July, Clark County commissioners approved a vote to donate nearly 5 acres of vacant land to O'Neal's foundation to build a brand new Boys & Girls Club.

And now, a little over a week after learning about the land donation, O'Neal is talking about the new multi-million dollar, 17,000-square-foot facility located in the Northeast Valley that will provide social, recreation, and tech resources for infants up to 24 years old.

"It's just the right thing to do. There's really no explanation," O'Neal said. "It's what I was taught by the great Dr. Lucille O'Neal and anytime I can make her proud, I'm doing a great thing."

In addition to giving back to his community, O'Neal is passionate about education. He recently invested in a startup called Campus, which focuses on helping community college students finish their degrees and further their education to get a bachelor's degree.

"I heard Jeff Bezos say, if you invest in things that's going to change people's lives, you'll always get a great return on your investment," O'Neal told Fortune. "But this particular investment is not about great return because I feel that everyone should have access to world-class education."
