Prince Harry is "longing" to return to his former life as he misses his old friends who allegedly find his wife, Meghan Markle, to be "difficult."
During a recent London visit, Harry stayed at a hotel, seemingly avoiding old friends. The duke and duchess were also not present at the wedding ceremony of Harry's longtime friend, Hugh Grosvenor.
Since stepping down from their roles as senior royal, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have had a strained relationship with the members of the royal family.
Prince Harry Is Allegedly Getting 'Increasingly Bored' And Is 'Longing' To See Old Friends
According to a report, the Duke of Sussex is getting "bored" and is missing his home country and being able to socialize with his old friends. Some of the prince's pals have kept their distance as they allegedly don't get on well with Meghan.
In June, Grosvenor, one of Harry's oldest friends and godfather to their son Prince Archie, married Olivia Henson at Chester Cathedral. However, Harry and Meghan were notably absent from the event, raising eyebrows. Meanwhile, Harry's estranged brother, Prince William, attended the wedding as an usher.
Royal expert and author Tom Quinn suggested that the Sussexes skipped the wedding to avoid causing a stir. He also told The Mirror that Harry doesn't see his friends often because of Meghan.
"Harry is increasingly bored and longing back across the Atlantic where most of his army and school friends still live and whom he never sees because they won't visit him in the States because they find Meghan difficult," Quinn claimed.
Why Prince Harry Avoided Meeting Friends During London Visit For Invictus Games
Harry visited London in May to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, but rather than stay at a royal residence or with friends, the duke chose to stay in a hotel.
Quinn told the outlet that Harry likely avoided meeting his old school and military friends, considering them part of a "pre-Meghan world" he now dislikes.
The royal expert mentioned that Harry's army friends felt "betrayed" by his portrayal of military service in his memoir, "Spare," leading to a sense of having "nothing in common" with him anymore.
Many of Harry's former friends reportedly "don't like Meghan" and blame her for transforming him into "Harry the Hippy."
"The truth is that Harry has reinvented himself in a way that just doesn't work for his family or for friends from the past when he was a very different character," Quinn added.
Prince Harry Reportedly Considers Returning To The UK
Earlier this year, Harry officially declared the United States as his home, renouncing his British residency.
This declaration was backdated to June 29, 2023, coinciding with the day he and Meghan vacated Frogmore Cottage, leaving them without a UK residence.
However, recent rumors have surfaced that Harry is considering acquiring a new home in the UK.
His father, King Charles III's former butler, Grant Harrold, shared with the New York Post that Harry has been contemplating this move for some time.
"It's something that he's wanted and been thinking about. Now he's probably made the decision that's what he wants," Harrold claimed.
Meghan Markle Faces Hollywood Scrutiny Amid Delays And Career Setbacks
Meanwhile, Meghan reportedly feels "rejected" by the UK and is focusing on her Hollywood career. However, despite her fame in the industry, Hollywood insiders are reportedly unimpressed with her showbiz skills.
The launch of her new podcast with Lemonada Media has been delayed to next year, allegedly due to concerns that her upcoming lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, would overshadow the podcast.
An insider told In Touch, "Meghan gets greedy. She wants everything all at once, and it's backfiring on her again. She's become a total joke and is overplaying her hand."
Why Meghan Markle Needs Her Netflix Show To Succeed
Additionally, Lemonada executives are reportedly worried that Meghan's upcoming Netflix cooking show will divert attention from the podcast.
"That clearly didn't go down well with Lemonada," the source added. "They surely expected to be Meghan's priority project, but she must have decided she had bigger fish to fry with Netflix."
The reported delay of Meghan's podcast follows the non-renewal of her Spotify series "Archetypes" for a second season.
According to the source, the duchess urgently needs her Netflix show or lifestyle brand to succeed in order to prove that she and Harry remain relevant in Hollywood.
