Soap Actress Jacqueline Macinnes Wood Welcomes Second Child

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is a mom again!

"The Bold and the Beautiful" actress gave birth to her second child, a boy named Lenix on Sunday, February 21st.

Wood revealed the happy news yesterday on Instagram, sharing a photo of her holding her newborn son's hand.

This is the second son for Wood and her husband Elan Ruspoli. Their eldest son Rise will celebrate his second birthday in March.

Wood has spoken about how much she loves motherhood, and how she and her husband wanted another child.

Now the two will have their hands full with two boys in the house.

Much like her first pregnancy announcement, Wood decided to go all out for the second announcement.

In October 2020, the 33-year-old actress posted an Instagram video. When the video stars, she's wearing a blue sweatsuit and holding a pair of glittery boots.

In the next shot, she's wearing the boots along with black shorts and a white cropped shirt, showing off her baby bump.

The caption read "once you pop, the fun don't stop! Round 2 Lego!" 

At the time of the announcement, Wood was already 23 weeks pregnant.

Throughout her second pregnancy, Wood showed off photos of her growing belly.

The mom-to-be looked radiant as she cradled her bump, and posed with her eldest son Rise.

Unlike her first pregnancy, Wood kept mum about the baby's gender.

However, as she went past her due date, the actress decided to share the good news.

On February 15th, the actress posted the gender reveal on Instagram. Wood is wearing a tie-dye sweatsuit and an assortment of blue and pink wigs.

She then removes all the wigs, except for a blue one, then blue smoke bursts and the words "it's a boy" appear onscreen.

When Wood announced her second pregnancy, "The Bold and the Beautiful" fans wondered if it'd be written into the show.

Well, it didn't take long for the writers to reveal their plans for Wood's character Steffy.

Like her portrayer, Steffy would find herself once again in the family way.

However, like all soap opera storylines, there's drama mixed in with Steffy's pregnancy.

She doesn't know if the baby's father is her current beau Finn or her ex Liam Spencer.

A paternity test would then reveal that Liam is the father.

Wood's character Steffy is in the midst of a huge storyline. With Finn and Liam fighting over her, and her rivalry with Hope renewed, there's a lot going on for the character.

However, fans will be seeing less of Steffy in the coming weeks with Wood on maternity leave.

But when she does return, there's going to be more drama and a huge twist in her story.

Speculation among B&B fans is there was a switch with the DNA results, and Finn is the father of Steffy's baby.

Although, fans have been critical of the story, they can't wait until the truth is revealed so Steffy can be with Finn, and Liam can be out of her life.
