DaBaby Still Struggles Amid Legal Issues With Latest Assault LawsuitÂ
DaBaby is still one of the hottest artists in the world as he continues to put up huge streaming numbers with every release. At the same time though, the Charlotte rapper continues to struggle avoiding legal woes. This time, it comes out of Los Angeles involving allegedly assaulting a rental property owner, according to Variety.
DaBaby rented property located in Runyon Canyon as it is a vacation home. There, Baby allegedly assaulted the owner after trying to shut down a music video shoot in December.
DaBaby Reportedly Broke COVID-19 Rules
Gary Pager is the owner of this property claimed that Baby agreed to limit his gathering to 12 people but in the end, 40 people were in attendance. Pager soon arrived at the property to shut production of the video down but then, he was knocked down by someone at the scene. Baby then allegedly got out of his car to chase Pager into the home. Baby told him not to call the police and from that point, was hit in the mouth.
Property Owner Was Hit In The Mouth And Lost A Tooth
The hit by Baby is supposedly labeled as a "sucker punch" which definitely caused damage. Pager reportedly lost a tooth and began bleeding. Police were soon called and from that point, everyone left the property. Pager's phone and "valuable kitchenware" were also reportedly stolen. The lawsuit states that Baby "appears to think he's a real tough guy" and that "Mr. Kirk is wrong." Only a portion of the rental bill was paid in the end as Baby and his crew also caused thousands of dollars in damage to the property.
A Security Camera Was Also Allegedly Destroyed
The lawsuit went on to state that Baby and his crew destroyed a security camera. This was done in order to hide the fact that more than 12 people were on the property. It also added that "the lease terms prohibited the property from being used for any commercial purpose." Pager even alleges that he was spat on by everyone and his phone was being tossed around as form of taunting. The "Suge" rapper still hasn't addressed any of these accusations on social media yet.
DaBaby's Legal Woes Stand In The Way Of His Stardom
This incident isn't a rare occasion for DaBaby. Legal woes have plagued him on multiple occasions. Some of the most notable troubles were in January 2020 when he and his crew assaulted a Miami promoter. This was due to supposedly not paying enough money for a nightclub appearance. A month before that, DaBaby assaulted a Beverly Hills valet worker for allegedly recording him while with his daughter. In March, DaBaby was seen throwing a slap at a woman in Tampa for taking a photo of him. Last month, he was arrested in Beverly Hills after police found guns on him and his crew.
