July is for basketball lovers in Las Vegas!

It’s almost time for the rookies, sophomores, and undrafted NBA players to show what they got during the nearly two-week-long NBA2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Beginning on Friday, July 12, there will be multiple games per day that the public can attend at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion, as well as a variety of activations and events around the city. And all of the basketball fun comes just after Team USA goes up against Team Canada at T-Mobile Arena on July 10.

NBA2K25 Summer League Set To Tip Off In Las Vegas As Excitement Builds For New Season

If you love basketball and watching NBA games, NBA2K25 Summer League is right up your alley. It’s an opportunity to catch multiple games a day and see some of the rising stars of the league in action. This is the 20th year of NBA Summer League in Vegas bringing all 30 teams together for some summer ballin’ fun. 

The 11-day-long event begins on Friday, July 12, and goes through Monday, July 22 when a champion will be crowned. Each day offers multiple games in two locations on the campus of UNLV - Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion.

Each day of Summer League will have six to eight games, and each team will play at least four games during the 11 days. After each team’s first four games, the top four teams will continue on to the playoffs, which begins with a semifinal doubleheader on Sunday, July 21. The two winning teams from the semifinals will compete in the championship game on Monday, July 22.

The NBPA Will Be Hosting Some Activations During NBA2K25 Summer League

The National Basketball Players Association recently announced they would be attending Summer League and will be hosting a variety of player-centric activations during opening weekend. 

“The NBPA is thrilled to be returning to Las Vegas with our members for the pinnacle of off-season basketball - NBA Summer League,” Josh Goodstadt, Chief Commercial Officer, THINK450 said. “From fashion and gaming to food and spirits, it is important that NBPA activations in Las Vegas capture our players’ love of the game in all facets of life, immersing fans in basketball culture, both on and off the court.”

The NBPA Brotherhood Deli presented by Chase Freedom will return to Thomas & Mack Center for opening weekend from June 12-14. The three-day pop-up opens an hour before the first game each day and offers unique fan experiences. Fans can join a live taping of "Hoops Tonight" podcast with Jason Timpf presented by Chase Freedom and iHeart Media. Patrons can also play NBA2K24 for a chance to win some free merchandise, attend happy hours, and secure their spot at exclusive player appearances. 

The NBPA will also be hosting a special player-inspired Speakeasy at Easy’s Cocktail Lounge in ARIA Resort & Casino on July 13. The NBPA Speakeasy will feature player-owned spirits and specialty basketball-themed cocktails.

Rookies, Sophomores, And Undrafted Players Will Be Playing In NBA2K25 Summer League Games

Newly drafted players to the league will be playing during the 11-day event, getting their first taste as an NBA player. Some second-year players will also be showcasing their growth in the league, including fan favorite Victor Wembanyama, the Kia Rookie of the Year. 

All eyes seem to be locked on Bronny James, LeBron James' 19-year-old son, who was recently drafted by the L.A. Lakers as the No. 55th pick. Bronny and the Lakers will play in the California Classic with the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, and Miami Heat, before joining the rest of the league in Vegas. 

Other rookies playing in Summer League include Alex Sarr, Washington Wizards, Rob Dillingham, Minnesota Timberwolves, Cody Williams, Utah Jazz, Jared McCain, Philadelphia 76ers, and many others.

Team USA Will Play Team Canada Right Before NBA Summer League Begins

The 2024 U.S. Men's National Team, competing at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 between July 26 and August 11, will be going up against Team Canada on July 10, just before Summer League begins, in Vegas.

Team USA features Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Jrue Holiday (Boston Celtics), Kawhi Leonard (L.A. Clippers), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns), LeBron James (L.A. Lakers), Bam Adebayo (Miami Heat), Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Anthony Davis (L.A. Lakers), and Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers).

Sneaker Con Will Also Be In Vegas During Summer League!

July is a great time for the serious hooper to be visiting "Sin City" with Summer League, Team USA playing, and a bonus of Sneaker Con Las Vegas!

"Get ready, Las Vegas! Sneaker Con is back and better than ever with a bigger venue, more vendors, and bigger line-up of special guests," the caption of Sneaker Con's Instagram post reads. "Join us on July 20-221, 2024 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center."

The popular convention and marketplace will have more than 350 vendors and will feature some of the latest releases.
