Vanessa Hudgens Breaks Silence After Birth Of First Baby With Cole Tucker: 'Happy And Healthy'

Vanessa Hudgens is displeased by how her new mom status came to light, and she's not afraid to show it.

The actress recently made waves after welcoming her first child with husband Cole Tucker. However, the news broke thanks to the ever-watchful eyes of paparazzi — an exploitative method per the doting new mother's standards.

Vanessa Hudgens is no stranger to keeping her private life under wraps and did not reveal her pregnancy until the 2024 Oscars.

Hours after her baby's arrival went viral, Hudgens addressed the situation on her Instagram Story. She didn't hide her displeasure, letting fans know that her family wished to share the news on their own time.

"We're disappointed that our family's privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media," Hudgens bashed paparazzi before confirming the big news, writing:

"Despite all of that, mom, dad, and baby are happy and healthy."

The Blast detailed the actress's discharge from the hospital on July 3, which coincided with her husband's 28th birthday. The viral pictures shared by sources captured the new mom leaving a Santa Monica facility in a wheelchair with her baby swaddled in her arms.

In the pictures, Hudgens was pushed to a car by a nurse and looked utterly smitten by her first child. She held the baby close to her face, obscuring the child's face from view, while her husband strolled along behind her.

Tucker, dressed in a blue hoodie and black shorts, dragged the duo's luggage to the car. Coincidentally or perhaps as a show of their ever-blossoming romance, he matched colors with his wife.

Hudgens left the hospital rocking a blue shirt over a black outfit while the baby donned a two-piece with floral patterns and a head warmer. It was unclear when the newborn arrived or the child's gender, as the couple are yet to share the details.

Nonetheless, new moms reportedly spend anywhere from 1 to 3 days in the hospital after labor, depending on the delivery method and the baby's condition.

As stated, Hudgens' discharge from the hospital coincided with her husband's 28th birthday. Hours before paparazzi leaked the pictures, the new mom marked Tucker's new age with a touching Instagram post.

She shared a carousel of the couple's sweet memories, flaunting how their romance had developed in recent months. The post started with a picture of Tucker smiling brightly while holding the duo's adorable pet dog.

Then came multiple pictures depicting the lovebirds' romantic dates, including snaps of a pregnant Hudgens bonding with her beau and two shots of her and Tucker sharing passionate kisses.

Hudgens captioned the carousel with a simple yet affectionate message, writing, "Happy birthday to my slice of heaven @cotuck. You make the world a brighter place just by being you."

Hudgens and Tucker made waves as a couple in November 2020 but didn't confirm their relationship until February 2021, when they went Instagram official. News of their engagement broke two years later, with their wedding following months later in December 2023. 

The pair tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Tulum, Mexico, and Hudgens proudly flaunted pictures from the moment on her Instagram page. However, some fans were more concerned about what was happening under her stunning Vera Wang dress.

The comment section blew up with pregnancy theories, sparking comments like "Is she pregnant?" and "She is sooooo pregnant." However, other IG users weren't pleased with the attention on Hudgens' stomach.

These fans berated pregnancy theorists, with one critic writing: "Seriously, come on... women's bodies are different, okay? Even if she was, there is no need to point that out. Enjoy the beautiful photo."

Although Hudgens kept specific details about her life private, The Blast shared that she enjoyed flaunting her blossoming romance with Tucker. For 2023's Earth Day celebrations, the 35-year-old blessed fans with PDA pictures from the duo's outing.
