Bobby Shmurda has been incarcerated since December 2014, the same year he broke out as a star. The Brooklyn rapper was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, reckless endangerment, and drug and gun possession. 

Other members of his GS9 gang/record label were also hit with heavy sentences. Rowdy Rebel, his close friend and fellow rapper, was hit with seven years in prison but avoided 12 years as Bobby agreed to do seven years so Rowdy could get less.

Bobby Is Scheduled For Conditional Release

Last month, Bobby's mother said that he was eligible for a conditional release from prison in February and now, it appears that this will happen for sure. According to TMZ, Bobby is already making plans for what he will do once he is finally released after almost seven years. He will reportedly be spending time with his family, have an "intimate dinner" with them, and also record new music at the studio as fans have been waiting for this for years.

Bobby Gives A Shout Out To His Fans On Instagram

Ahead of Bobby's long-awaited prison release on Tuesday, he took to his Instagram feed to reveal that his original page hacked, so he made a new one. This account is already verified and has over 1.7 million followers. Bobby also took to his IG stories to thank them for riding with him over the last six years.

"Thank you for riding this six-year sentence out with me," he continues. "I love you all and look forward to seeing you soon. Sincerely, Bod boy Bobby."

Quavo Says He Will Pick Up Bobby From Prison

Quavo has been close with Bobby for years and in a recent interview with Billboard, he revealed that he will be picking him up from the prison he's located. The Migos rapper has since been posting Bobby content on his social media feeds ahead of the release.

"I'm going to get my guy," said Quavo to Billboard. "I'm personally gonna go pick up Bobby Shmurda. I'm bout to go get him. I'm gonna let him show you how I'm gonna pick him up, yessir."

Bobby Broke Out With Debut Single, 'Hot N****' In 2014.

Prior to Bobby's legal woes and being incarcerated for almost seven years, the future was very bright for him. He put out his "Hot N****" single and that was one of the hottest records in the US. It peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 1 on the Billboard US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It is also at platinum status in the US. Hot N**** went on to appear on Shmurda's debut EP that November, "Shmurda She Wrote. "
