Gypsy Rose Blanchard spent eight and a half years behind bars after pleading guilty to second-degree murder for conspiring to kill her mom, Clauddine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard. While in prison, she met several other women, some of who are speaking out to share their point of view on the case and their relationships with the ex-convict.

Tuesday Sparks, who remains in contact with Gypsy Rose Blanchard, spoke to The Blast exclusively to tell her side of the story and describe her experience knowing the ex-convict.

While she wasn't cellmates with Gypsy for very long, Tuesday "had lived in the same housing unit with her before."

"I had talked to her in passing, maybe waiting for laundry to be passed out, or at the chow hall, just different scenarios," she told The Blast exclusively. "Prison is like a small community. Everybody knows everybody, even if you’ve never lived with them."

She was incarcerated from 2018-2020 and knew Gypsy from the time she got there until she left.

While behind bars, the two bonded over their love for Kim Kardashian and makeup.

"We talked about freedom, and what that would look like. We talked about our family. We talked about our love for Kim Kardashian," Tuesday told The Blast. "She used to always tell me I looked like her - being funny, of course. We talked about make-up. I showed her how I contour my face in [prison], which colors to use, etc."

The Blast also chatted with Tuesday about the accusations floating around that Gypsy bragged about killing her mom while behind bars, but Tuesday is shutting those rumors down.

"[She] would never!! I couldn’t imagine, knowing all the pain she carried, that she would do that," Tuesday told The Blast. "I [didn't] know Gypsy when she committed her crime. I [didn't] know Gypsy when she first [got arrested], but the girl I know, would never do that. She wasn’t that person."

"She never talked about the crime. She did talk about the trauma because of her crime and the trauma that caused her [to commit the] crime," she explained. "All women in prison have trauma. And nine times out of 10, it’s that trauma that landed them there in one way or another. But it’s not something that she opened up about often. Maybe to people that were close to her, but never to me."

"I didn’t ask either. I don’t always care to know the details of people’s crimes. I learned after a while it didn’t matter," Tuesday admitted. "There’s A LOT of people in there that did really bad things…but that’s not 'who' they are. Sometimes it’s years of abuse, sometimes it’s a bad choice made a second. Sometimes, people are just bad humans. But you'll see it if you get to know people for who they are."

Addressing The Backlash

Ever since she's been released on parole, Gypsy has faced backlash from the public, but Tuesday says that regardless of what she did, she doesn't deserve the hate -- and "no one does."

"It’s always wrong to get on a public platform and bash another person. Period," she told The Blast. "It’s never okay. Especially when you know your OPINION of them is going to sway other people. I’m trying to teach my 12-year-old not to bully right now. God definitely has strange timing, huh? If I was asked a question about someone I didn’t like on a public platform, I would tell the person asking me to look at their actions today and make their own decision. That’s not for me to do."

Gypsy Rose Blanchard's Cellmate Says She Deserves A Fresh Start

At the end of the day, Tuesday believes that some people "need to be in prison forever" because "there are bad people in the world," but she "doesn't believe [Gypsy] is one of them," and thinks she deserves a fresh start.

She had one final thought. "I want to be clear, I’m not one to fight other people’s battles for them. I just don’t like all the hateful things being said that aren’t true," Tuesday confirmed. "It’s unnecessary and hurtful. Life is hard enough for some people. There’s plenty of ways to be noticed without being a jerk."
