Justin Bieber Causes Snag in Wife Hailey's Upcoming Cosmetics Line

By Gary Trock

Hailey Bieber's dreams of a cosmetics line may get brushed away because it turns out she's not the only Bieber who had aspirations of becoming a makeup mogul.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Hailey's trademark application for "Bieber Beauty" was just refused by U.S. Patent & Trademark officials because of a possible confusion with trademarks already owned by her husband, Justin Bieber.

Hailey's trademark was officially refused due to a "likelihood of confusion" and "similarity of marks" to JB's trademark, because he also registered his name for similar products like cosmetics, fragrances, soaps, shampoos and lotions.

Unfortunately, Justin locked up his trademarks back in 2003, when he was 9-years-old.

He hadn't even met his future wife yet, which wouldn't happen until 2009 when Hailey's dad, Stephen Baldwin, introduced the two at an event in NYC.

Even though Hailey has been shut down by officials, all is not lost, because she has the opportunity to fight the decision.

The supermodel has the chance to submit "evidence and arguments in support of registration," which can weigh on the decision before the mark is totally abandoned.

It's unclear if she will try and salvage Bieber Beauty, but we're guessing a letter or sign-off from Justin could greatly impact her chances of getting the green light.

Plus, he'll technically be getting 50% of the cosmetics sales anyways ... because of the whole marriage thing.
