John Travolta Selling Maine Marital Home 7-Months After Kelly Preston's Death

John Travolta is unloading the lavish mansion he shared with his late wife, Kelly Preston.
The "Grease" actor listed the large estate in Maine for $5-million, according to reports. The star is unloading the home, which he purchased with Preston in 1991, seven months after she passed away from breast cancer. Kelly and John were married the same year in which they bought and remodeled the old historic home on the island enclave of Islesboro, Maine but it seems like he is ready to move on from the large mansion.

The Islesboro estate features 42 rooms, of which 22 are bedrooms. It reportedly features stunning waterfront views and sits on 48 acres. As we previously mentioned, Travolta and Preston were married in 1991 and bought the home during the same year. The house was originally built in 1903 but the couple hired renowned decorator Christopher
Boshears to make it their own in 1999, according to Architectural Digest. They noted at the time that the house would be used to host their 55-member family.

John just celebrated his 67th birthday on February 18 with his 10-year-old son, Ben, and his 20-year-old, daughter, Ella. She penned an emotional message on social media and called him the "best Dad ever."
"Happy Birthday to the most incredible man I have ever known," Ella wrote. "You are not only the best Dad ever, but you are also my best friend. Thank you for raising us, helping us and loving us and thank you for all of the good you do every day. The world is so lucky to have you and so are we. I love you Daddy. I had the best time celebrating your birthday with you yesterday. ❤️❤️❤️"

John took to his Instagram to thank the fans for all the love and support he received on his birthday. He also thanked them for making his Scott's Super Bowl commercial such a big hit. The ad featured Ella and him dancing together and it really resonated with fans.
