Last week,Post Malone dropped his latest single, “Pour Me a Drink,” featuring country icon Blake Shelton. The track, which Post and Shelton first performed at CMA Fest on June 6, was released shortly after the 28-year-old revealed the title of his sixth studio album with a massive purple billboard in Nashville.

The 28-year-old officially stepped into country music in November, collaborating with Morgan Wallen and HARDY for a performance at the 2023 CMA Awards. He also worked with Beyoncé on her country album, "Cowboy Carter," releasing "Levii’s Jeans."

Post also released "I Had Some Help," which he collaborated with Morgan Wallen on.

After both of these tracks were released, the 28-year-old announced he was going country and would release an entire album in the genre.

In 2022, Post Malone said he had been thinking about recording a country album, expressing that he didn't want to be tied down to one type of music.

"To be honest, there's nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album [to put] on YouTube," he shared on "The Howard Stern Show." "I'm allowed to do that. I'm a human being."

"I split my time between a lot of different things because I am happily obligated to do concerts and show love to my fans, and then I'm happily obligated to write music and make beats by myself, and I'm happily obligated to, you know, take care of my family,” he continued. “So, it's a lot of time, and it's about finding that space to allot that time. If I get another year to myself, maybe I'll make a f-cking country album."
