Justin Timberlake's claim that he drank only one martini before he was pulled over by cops for blowing past a stop sign has been confirmed by a bartender working at The American Hotel.
On the night of the arrest, the singer failed a field sobriety test and turned down taking a breathalyzer test three times.
Grammy-award-winning singer Justin Timberlake was released the next day without bail after being charged with one count of DWI and a citation.
Justin Timberlake's One Martini Claim Is True, Says Hotel Bartender
According to People magazine, a bartender at the high-profile hotel where Timberlake was partying with friends prior to his DWI arrest has confirmed that the singer only had one martini, as he reportedly claimed.
Timberlake had told the arresting cop that he "had one martini and [then] followed my friends home."
However, the fact that he failed a field sobriety test and refused to take a breathalyzer test made his claim unbelievable.
Another staff also said that if Timberlake was "drinking more," he did not do so at the hotel, contrary to claims from other sources that said the singer was "wasted" that night and drank someone else's drink.
Timberlake was taken into custody for several hours before being released without bail. He was charged with one count of DWI and citations for blowing past a stop sign and swerving between lanes. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 26 for the charge hearing.
An Eyewitness Said The Singer Was 'Wasted'
After Timberlake's arrest made headlines, an eyewitness alleged that the singer was heavily drunk before exiting a party at the hotel in the Hamptons.
The source told the New York Post that the "Selfish" crooner went overboard at some point by drinking the drink of another person who had stepped away to the bathroom.
The anonymous individual said of the star, "He was wasted. At one point, just before closing, somebody got up to go to the bathroom and left his drink on the table."
"When [the man] came back, [Timberlake] was drinking his drink. The guy goes, 'Justin, that's my drink!" the source added.
An Anonymous Person Informed The Police That Justin Timberlake Was 'Having A Lot Of Drinks'
It was recently revealed that, before the DWI bust, someone called cops from the Hamptons hotel to report that the singer might get behind the wheel.
"[They] said Justin was having a lot of drinks, and they told the cop to watch him if he is going to drive," the local restaurateur told the New York Post.
It is unclear who called the cops on Timberlake, but it could have been a hotel staff member, a patron who saw him, or someone he partied with that night.
Timberlake was pulled over after he was seen blowing past a stop sign. However, according to the restaurateur insider, the singer was "definitely treated unfairly" because "everyone drives through that stop sign when no one is there."
Social Media Users Slammed Justin Timberlake For His DWI
Following the singer's arrest, which went viral, social media users slammed him for getting himself into such a predicament.
One user wrote on X, "If you get a DUI in this day and age, you're a f-cking loser. Even if you're Justin Timberlake. You're telling me you couldn't bring sexy back home in an Uber? A car service? A private jet????"
Another netizen remarked, "I don't understand being wealthy and getting a DUI. Like dude, ask your driver to drive."
A third person commented, "He has all the money in the world to buy a ride home. And he has 'friends,' who he was following home in another car that he could have caught a ride from."
Someone else wrote, "We all cringe looking back at what we did when we were young, hurting, or under the influence. But Justin just has no excuse."
Another person commented, "There's really no excuse for it, especially when you have that kind of money to hire a car."

"All of us here in this room tonight, in this arena tonight, have grown up together. So many of you come up to me and say, 'I grew up with you, man,'" the "Selfish" crooner told the crowd, per People.
Timberlake added, "I want each and every one of you to know I've grown up with you. You have been such a big and beautiful part of my life, and sometimes I can't find the words to show my gratitude that you guys just keep riding with me and riding with me."
