Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl recently compared his band to Taylor Swift, subtly mocking the singer for allegedly not "playing live" during her concerts.

Grohl's jab at Swift took many by surprise as he had previously declared himself a fan and had once dedicated a song to her.

Fans of Taylor Swift are not taking the rock star Dave Grohl's remarks about her lightly, as many have taken to social media to roast Grohl.

Grohl, the frontman for the Foo Fighters, recently made comments about Swift during his band's concert at the London Stadium.

Concert footage posted online showed Grohl making quips about Swift after his mentioning of her Eras Tour happening at the Wembley Stadium nearby was met with boos from the audience.

"I tell you, man, you don't want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift," the rock star noted to the large crowd, per Consequence.

He continued, "So we like to call our tour the 'Errors Tour.' We've had more than a few eras, and more than a few f-cking errors as well. Just a couple."

Grohl then took a direct jab at Swift, stating, "That's because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock 'n' roll music, right? You came to the right f-cking place."

According to the news outlet, Swift subtly responded to Grohl's jab on Sunday night by thanking her band and noting to the audience that they would "be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight."

"They deserve this so much," the singer added. "And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it."

Fans Roast Dave Grohl On Social Media For His Remarks

A clip of Grohl making the statements about Swift was shared online, causing fans of the "Blank Space" singer to slam him.

"Wow Grohl so washed [up] he has to use Taylor's name for free pr? Embarrassing. Thought he was better than that. What a shame," a fan noted.

Another said, "An old washed up miserable man using her name [as] a desperate last attempt to recover his dying career… next

"Once again, men bashing Taylor for literally no reason she didn't do anything wrong, and they feel the need to talk about her," a third person commented on X.

Another agreed, writing, "This is incredibly odd behavior considering this was an incredibly unprovoked statement."

However, some fans defended Grohl's statement and suggested it might not be a direct diss at the "Out of the Woods" singer.

One such comment read, "I don't think he's talking about Taylor. i ain't gonna let y'all attack the legend Dave over speculation."

Dave Grohl Previously Praised Taylor Swift And Said He Is A Fan

Despite his jabs at Swift during the concert, Grohl has praised the pop star several times in the past.

During his appearance at the BBC Radio Big 1 Weekend in 2015, the "My Hero" singer even dedicated the Foo Fighters song "Congregation" to Swift.

In a clip of the show posted to social media, Grohl also gushed about being a fan of Swift. He said, "Taylor Swift's hometown, anybody? I'm officially obsessed, she might want to get a restraining order, 'cause I'm all about T. Swift."

Grohl previously commended Swift's decision to re-record all her previous albums and reclaim her catalog and its masters.

He also once shared a story of how the "Wildest Dreams" singer saved him by offering to play the piano in his place at a party held by Sir Paul McCartney.

During her first London show, which was held on Friday, Swift had several top Hollywood stars in attendance. She also had royal fans at the show: Prince William and his kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The Prince of Wales celebrated his 42nd birthday at the concert and took a selfie with the singer, which was posted on the royals' official account.

Swift also shared another photo on her Instagram of herself with the royals and her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce.

The caption read, "Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start."

Taylor Swift Is Still Very Busy With Her Eras Tour

Swift still has busy days ahead of her as she continues her record-breaking Eras Tour.

The singer is scheduled to play on Sunday night at Wembley Stadium on the last date of her London performances.

However, the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer will return to the city in August for another five dates, marking the end of the European leg of her Eras Tour.
