Tom Brady, 46, plans to travel to Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics, but he won't be flying alone!
The NFL quarterback has a new date lined up following his divorce from supermodel Gisele Bündchen. As The Blast reported, speculation about the couple's relationship troubles started when the now-retired quarterback unexpectedly took an 11-day break from training camp in August 2022, citing "personal reasons."
Brady eventually resumed training camp and issued a statement, saying, "Everyone faces their own challenges, and we all have unique circumstances in life. I'm 45 years old, you know."
The divorce announcement came months later, but Tom Brady is seemingly moving on from his past, as he has revealed his date for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
Tom And Gisele Get Divorced
“We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration,” Brady said when announcing his divorce from the supermodel. “Doing so, is, of course, painful and difficult, like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world."
"However, we wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written,” he concluded.
Gisele Bündchen On Her Marriage
Before they announced their divorce, Gisele Bündchen spoke out about her marriage and Brady’s decision to come out of retirement. “Obviously, I have my concerns—this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she said. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”
Bündchen continued, “I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom]. I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams. Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career—it makes me happy. At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that.”
Tom Brady Retires, Unretires, Retires Again
On February 1, 2022, Brady announced his retirement on Instagram. However, he came out of retirement just weeks later to play one last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Then, on February 1, 2023, he announced, once again, that his time in the NFL was done.
“I’ll get to the point right away. I’m retiring. For good,” he began to say in the video. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first. I won’t be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me, my family, my friends, my teammates, and my competitors, I could go on forever there’s too many.”
While he is done playing in the sports world, he still remains a sports fan, announcing he will be attending the 2024 Paris Olympics -- and he's bringing a date!

Tom Brady told PEOPLE Magazine that he will be heading to Paris this summer for the Olympic games — and he's bringing daughter Vivian, 11, as his date.
"It's going to be so fun," the former New England Patriot told the outlet as he looks forward to the big event. But which events is he looking forward to most? Well, it seems he can't pick just one.
"I love all sports!" Brady said. "Whether it's a soccer team in the UK, whether it's a racing team like the Hertz Jota team, whether it's a football team, pickleball team, a women's basketball team, an NFL team...really the culture is about people, and about accountability and discipline, and then leadership."
When Do The 2024 Olympics Kick Off?
The Paris Olympics are scheduled to be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Paris previously hosted the Olympics in 1900 and 1924, making 2024 its third time hosting the event.
Sports fans are expected to see many star athletes, including Simone Biles and Suni Lee, at the upcoming event.
Brittney Griner has already been confirmed as part of Team USA. However, Caitlin Clark did not make the cut.
