On Wednesday, June 19, Morgan Wallen checked in with his fans after weeks of flying under the radar.

"What's going on everybody?" he said in a video posted to his Instagram Stories. "I've been in the studio for the past couple of days, and I was just thinking I haven't been on here to let y'all know or to give y'all an update in a long time."

"I've just been hanging with my kid, making music, golfing, swimming, but mostly just laying low and staying out of trouble."

It is unclear if Wallen has had anything to drink since the chair-throwing incident or if he has gone to any type of rehab, but he did finish his tour and has performed at big events, including Stagecoach.

Morgan Wallen is no stranger to controversies. In February 2021, he found himself in some trouble after he was caught yelling a racial slur in Nashville. “Take care of this “p-ssy-a-- m-therf-cker," Wallen yelled. “Take care of this p-ssy-a-- n-gger."

After the backlash, Wallen issued an apology: "I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”

Since his arrest, Morgan Wallen has released a handful of songs, one of which is a collaboration with Post Malone, "I Had Some Help."

“I had some help / It ain’t like I can make this kind of mess all by myself / Don’t act like you ain’t help me pull that bottle off the shelf / Been deep in every weekend, if you couldn’t tell / They say teamwork makes the dream work / Hell, I had some help," Wallen and Malone sing in the song.

He is also getting ready to release a new song titled "Lies Lies Lies." “I’m really excited for y’all to hear the new music, it sounds awesome,” Wallen said in his recent Instagram Stories. “‘Lies Lies Lies’ is coming out real soon, I’m excited for that one. And I got plenty more in the pipeline.”

Plus, his viral collaboration with Moneybagg Yo, “Whiskey Whiskey,” has been a huge success for the country music artist. “We wrote that song—shoot, over two years ago, probably, and finally got the chance to put it out,” the country music artist said. “So I’m glad to see that’s still reacting and still sounding fresh a couple years later.”
