Jennifer Lopez Takes Extreme Instagram Measure As Divorce Rumors Spike

Jennifer Lopez has taken matters into her own hands on Instagram as rumors of her alleged divorce plans from husband Ben Affleck spike. The singer and actress, 54, continues to ignore attempts to get her to talk, and it looks like she's done with her social media followers doing the talking for her. Earlier this month, JLo took drastic action on her Instagram, leaving numbers of likes to her posts enabled, but banning her 252 million followers from commenting. The move may have come as a result of the recent wave of hate Lopez has been subjected to — from shade over her latest album to remarks about 2022-married Affleck, the "Jenny From The Block" star hasn't had it easy of late.

Lopez, who dated Batman star Ben in the early 2000s and called off her engagement to him in 2004, reunited with her eventual fourth husband in 2021. In 2022, the couple married, but 2024 sees every media outlet around reporting a possible impending divorce.

JLo and Ben went six weeks without being spotted together this Spring, although both have since been seen together and wearing their wedding rings. Nonetheless, it's rumored that the couple, reportedly living apart, have put plans into place to sell their $60 million California home.

"Ben never liked the house. It's too far away from his kids," an insider told People. Lopez, meanwhile, is said to find the luxurious property "too big." May and June have seen Ben in the news for reportedly living in a rental property costing $100,000 a month. On top of that, the pad is just two blocks away from his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

Last week, Jennifer dolled herself up to join husband Ben for his son Samuel's graduation. The outing, which went viral, also included Jennifer Garner, and fans had plenty of thoughts. Topping The Daily Mail's comments section was a user saying:

"It's pretty simple to me. Ben is one of those guys who just wants to spend his weekends with the family, maybe a BBQ and a few beers with friends. JLo wants to spend the weekends at a fancy Hollywood party, being seen at all the right places, shopping for expensive stuff."

Jennifer Lopez, who has a $400 million net worth, had plans for a massive music tour this summer, but she's canceled it, stating a decision to focus on her family. The actress shares twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Both attended Samuel's recent graduation, where Lopez wore a Valentino minidress and carried around a $500,000 Hermes purse.
