Charlie Sheen is speaking out amid his troubled ex-wife's most recent stint in rehab, and is making sure the family protects their children from their mother's behavior.Charlie is giving insight into the Sheen family drama after Brooke Mueller checked into a rehab facility as she continues to struggle with addiction.Mueller sought help on the heels of an old video surfacing appearing to show the former actress smoking drugs out of a glass pipe.

Charlie tells The Blast, "Brooke is currently tucked away, (yet again!) for the umpteen billionth time, seeking the help she needs."

The "Anger Management" star explained that, "Between myself, and the boys' two amazing sets of Grandparents, we continue to seamlessly love shelter and protect Bob and Max, from the haphazard choices and unsightly behavior their mom refuses to extinguish once and for all."

He is adamant that, "these wonderful boys need their mom. and hopefully one day soon, they will finally have one. until then, on every front we got this."

We're told the 10-year-old twins are currently being cared for by their dedicated grandparents while Brooke seeks treatment.

Charlie's parents, Janet and Martin Sheen, along with Brooke's parents, Mora Foire and Allen Mueller, have been very involved in the twins' lives since birth.

Charlie and Brooke tied the knot back on May 30, 2008 ... and soon after, became pregnant with Bob and Max.After a couple years of turmoil, including a fight on Christmas Day in 2009, both Charlie and Brooke filed for divorce on On Nov. 1, 2010.Since the breakup, Brooke has relapsed, and attended rehab, multiple times.
