"Euphoria" star Jacob Elordi, 26, is the latest victim of an NSFW deep fake. This time, the photoshopped video involves a minor.
Several posts of Elordi have surfaced on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, with the actor's face plastered onto an OnlyFans creator's body. One post reportedly brought in 3 million views.
The X-rated deep fakes are the latest trend on X, and with Jacob Elordi's NSFW photoshopped footage going viral, many are coming to the actor's defense.
Photoshopped Footage Of Jacob Elordi Goes Viral
While specific details surrounding the video are being kept under wraps, the OnlyFans creator has reportedly spoken out, per TMZ, categorizing the deepfake as creepy as the footage was taken when he was only 17.
According to reports, the now 19-year-old living in Brazil said, "That's literally my video," and "Deep fake is getting creepy."
Because it was filmed when he was underage, it's being labeled as child p-rn.
According to NBC, out of the 16 posts viewed by the outlet, one had a content label that said, “Visibility limited: this Post may violate X’s rules against Abuse.” While that post could not be linked to or shared, it still had 23,000 views.
Fans Come To The 'Euphoria' Actor's Defense
According to screenshots obtained by TMZ, many social media users slammed those who shared Jacob Elordi's deepfake.
"The people sharing that AI video of Jacob Elordi are not any better than the ones who shared those AI photos of Taylor Swift. It's disgusting. Doesn't matter what gender it happens to," one user wrote, referring to the deepfake explicit snaps of Taylor Swift that circulated earlier this year.
"Hi, there's a p-rn deepfake video (where they paste the face of one person on another) of Jacob Elord circulating around. I ask if you see any of the videos or montages, REPORT IT AS HARASSMENT," another expressed. This is sick and has reached other proportions. If you see it around, report it."
"Can y'all stop that Jacob Elordi deepfake around? Y'all are disgusting," a third said.
The 'Horrifying' Twist
After finding out that the OnlyFans creator was underage at the time, many found the video to be even more disturbing. "Nonconsensual sexually explicit deepfakes of Jacob Elordi were viewed more than 3 million times in tweets today," one X user wrote. "In a horrifying twist, the person whose video was used to create the deepfake said he was just 17 in it."
Another called out Elon Musk for allowing this to happen. "A p-rnographic video of an underage model who was deepfaked to look like Jacob Lordi is still readily available on Twitter. It’s gotten news coverage at this point, and @elonmusk has still made no efforts to ban the accounts posting the video or take it down," they said.
"BTW, nonconsensual deepfake & AI p-rn of real people is disgusting and frightening, even if it's a celebrity, and even if it's a man," one X user said. "I see women resharing Shawn Mendes or Jacob Elordi AI p-rn and there's no difference, it's still violating and wrong and should be illegal."
Taylor Swift's Deepfakes
Jacob Elordi is the latest victim of NSFW content, with many other celebrities having X-rated deepfakes shared on social media.
Earlier this year, The Blast reported that AI-created images of Taylor made their rounds on social media -- some of which were extremely graphic and include the Kansas City Chiefs and Travis Kelce, with the "Red" singer posing inappropriately.
After the X-rated images of Taylor Swift circulated, Senator Mark Warner, a Democrat from Virginia, stated, "Current law may insulate platforms and websites from exactly this sort of accountability. I want to pass Section 230 reform so we can hold tech firms accountable for allowing this disgusting content to proliferate."
X Has A Policy Against "Out-Of-Context" Media
While these deepfakes of celebrities continue to surface and circulate online, X said they have a policy against sharing “synthetic, manipulated, or out-of-context media that may deceive or confuse people and lead to harm.”
According to NBC, "it also disallows content that “sexualizes an individual without their consent.” In past statements to the news outlet, X has said they've removed deepfakes and "proactively does so."
Jacob Elordi has yet to comment on the recent deepfake video.
