Billy Ray Cyrus Unveils Love Notes From Firerose After She Accused Him Of 'Extreme' Abuse

Firerose is revealing more about the last days of her marriage to Billy Ray Cyrus, claiming he divorced her the day before her double mastectomy surgery.

According to court documents, Billy Ray placed Firerose into an "emotional and psychological prison" and didn't support her for the surgery.

In her filings, Firerose also accused the country musician of "extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse."

Billy Ray Cyrus has now responded to his estranged wife's claims by revealing love messages she allegedly sent after their split, begging him to come back and professing love.

Court documents filed by Firerose have revealed more details about the final days of her marriage to Billy Ray.

The filings obtained by People Magazine claim that Billy Ray filed for divorce the day before Firerose was scheduled for a preventative double mastectomy procedure.

According to her complaint, Firerose's doctors "highly recommended" her for a double mastectomy and reconstruction because she was diagnosed with a gene mutation that increases her chances of breast cancer.

However, as the date of her first surgery approached, the singer's relationship with Billy Ray became chaotic.

Firerose claims that Billy Ray "continuously launched verbal assaults" at her and threatened to eject her from their home.

The singer said she "walked on eggshells" around him all the time and that he put her "into an emotional and psychological prison."

The complaint read, "When [Firerose] would attempt to voice certain concerns, [Billy Ray] would often call her a 'selfish f-cking b-tch' and continually alleged that she was using him."

It continued, "With [Firerose's] major surgery date looming, she was reasonably afraid to leave or seek any type of help because she feared that [Billy Ray] would interfere with her surgery or her lengthy recovery at home."

Firerose, in her filing, wrote that Billy Ray eventually "ambushed" her with divorce papers the day before her scheduled surgery.

The "Old Town Road" singer also allegedly refused to sponsor her medical treatments, which he had initially agreed to after their wedding in October 2023, when he paid for her health insurance.

The complaint claims that Billy Ray "was prepared" to cover any surgical bills that weren't covered by her insurance but backed out.

"[Firerose] relied on [Billy Ray's] promises to pay for her surgery, and Husband has now repudiated that promise," the filings read, per People.

It further notes that Billy Ray threw Firerose out and abandoned her in her time of need, adding that, "On the day [Firerose] was set to get her surgery, she was instead searching for a place to live and was under a significant amount of emotional distress."

In the court documents, Firerose also accused Cyrus of maltreating her and inflicting "extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse.

The singer claimed that her estranged husband suffers from substance abuse issues that make him "unpredictable and volatile."

Cyrus initially filed for divorce from Firerose on May 23 and cited "irreconcilable differences" and inappropriate marital conduct as his reasons for the separation. The singer also filed for an annulment of their marriage on the grounds of fraud.

In her response to his filings, Firerose denied his accusations of inappropriate marital conduct and accused him of being "inappropriate" in their marriage to the extent that she often felt "unsafe" living with him.

After Firerose's claims of him inflicting "extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse" on her, Billy Ray responded by revealing love messages she sent begging him to come back.

His team shared the messages with Page Six, and they seemingly showed Firerose declaring her love to Billy Ray despite their divorce.

It read, "I miss you more than I can possibly explain in words Baby. Please, let's work this out and not become anything but closer to this hellish experience. I need you. I love you. I am so sorry."

Another lengthy text message from Firerose after their split also features her begging Billy Ray for them to work out their issues.

It read, "I'm praying with my entire soul that we can find each other again today. I feel completely lost & miss you more than I can explain. You have been my best friend in the world every day for over 4 years. 24/7. I miss you terribly. My heart is shattered & I need my best friend right now more than ever."
