“Southern Charm” star Kathryn Dennis will keep their final goodbyes with their mother private.
Kathryn’s mother, Allison Calhoun Dennis, passed away on Wednesday evening at her home in South Carolina after battling cancer. She was 59-years-old.
Allison is survived by her husband, Luke Dennis , Kathryn and son Luke Jr.
Kathryn and her family announced that, “all services will be private," and asking for donations to be made in their mother's honor for cancer research.

The Blast
Allison's obituary stated, “Mrs. Dennis was born February 15, 1960, in Georgetown, SC, a daughter of Thurmond Sessions "T.S." Calhoun and Judith Weathers Calhoun. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Moncks Corner, and she was a graduate of Berkeley High School and received her Bachelors Degree from the University of SC."
“Mrs. Dennis was a former member of the Moncks Corner Rotary Club, and she enjoyed cooking and studying genealogy and history. However, she especially loved family vacations to the mountains, Disney World, and to Atlanta to see the Braves play. Mrs. Dennis was preceded in death by two sisters, Tammy Calhoun and Rhonda Calhoun."
It continued, “Surviving are, her husband, Luke T. Dennis; her daughter, Kathryn Calhoun Dennis of Moncks Corner; her son, Luke T. Dennis, Jr., and his wife, Natalie, of Columbia; a brother, T.S. "Buddy" Calhoun, III, of Moncks Corner; and her grandchildren, Kensington Calhoun Ravenel and St. Julien Rembert Ravenel.”
According to PEOPLE, Allison Calhoun Dennis died after suffering from an “extended illness”.
Allison had been diagnosed with cancer and moved in with Kathryn during the battle.
We've learned she finished chemotherapy treatment last year but experienced health issues earlier this year.
She had to undergo emergency surgery in May after experiencing severe stomach pains.
While recovering, she was unable to stay with Kathryn during the month of June but expected to bounce back within weeks.
Kathryn’s mother had recently went to court to back up her daughter in the custody battle with Thomas Ravenel.
She submitted a declaration in the court firing back at Ravenel’s accusation she took care of their kids and not Kathryn.
Allison praised Kathryn’s parenting skills in the declaration saying she “has a very loving relationship with her children.”
