The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has finally made an emotional statement about attending the upcoming Trooping the Colour ceremony.

Since news of her cancer battle was made public, Kate has been out of the public eye. However, several royal fans have been hoping she would make an appearance at the Trooping the Colour event.

Kate Middleton's recent statement comes after she skipped the rehearsal for the event and sent a letter of apology to the Irish Guards.

In a personal message from Kate, the princess got very candid about her health battle as she talked about her good days and bad days amid her "preventative chemotherapy" treatment.

The mother-of-three revealed that while her treatment will continue for several months, she will make appearances at specific royal events.

The first event Kate will attend is King Charles' birthday parade. She will be seen alongside her children in a carriage before proceeding to stand with the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

Kensington Palace also released a stunning new photo of Kate, featuring her leaning against a tree with her arms crossed, looking calm. The princess was wearing jeans and a brown jacket and tilted her head upwards as if she were looking at the sky.

Kate Middleton Says She Has Been 'Blown Away By The King Messages'

The princess' lengthy statement read, "I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times."

Kate continued, "I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well."

She then noted that it "is a joy" to engage in regular things on the days when she feels "well enough."

Kate said, "My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home."

Still, in her message, the Princess of Wales expressed her excitement about King Charles' upcoming birthday parade.

"I'm looking forward to attending The King's Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet," Kate noted.

She continued, "I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal."

Concluding her statement, the princess said, "Thank you so much for your continued understanding and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me."

Kate's recent statement comes after she sent a letter of apology to the Irish Guards for missing an important rehearsal for the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

In her message, the Princess of Wales wrote, "I wanted to write and let you know how proud I am of the entire regiment ahead of the Colonel's Review and Trooping the Colour. I appreciate everyone trooping this year has been practicing for months and dedicating many hours to ensuring their uniforms and drill are immaculate."

She continued, "Being your Colonel remains a great honor and I am very sorry that I'm unable to take the salute at this year's Colonel's Review. Please pass my apologies to the whole regiment, however, I do hope that I am able to represent you all once again very soon."

Kate concluded, saying, "Please send my very best wishes and good luck to all involved."
