Guess The Activity Miley Cyrus Stopped Doing With Her Mom After 3 Days Of Immobility

Miley Cyrus loves her mom, Tish Cyrus; however, hanging out with the matriarch can have undesirable consequences.

During a recent appearance on "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman," the Disney alum opened up about her relationship with her mother and what it is like navigating a mostly sober lifestyle.

Miley Cyrus has been vocal about her bond with her parents, having a fantastic relationship with Tish Cyrus and a rocky dynamic with her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.

During the interview, Miley reflected on her sobriety after years of engaging in drugs and alcohol. She revealed that weed had become a vice to avoid, specifically, the type her mother used. 

"I will randomly take one small puff off my mom's joint, pretty much never because it's way too strong," Miley revealed, noting she was not the only one scarred by Tish's weed.

"My mom gave Wiz Khalifa a panic attack 'cause her weed was too heavy," the 31-year-old claimed before sharing how the rapper got off easy compared to the aftermath she experienced. Per ET, Miley said:

"I don't smoke my mom's weed anymore. The last time I smoked her weed was a couple weeks ago, and I did walk in and take the smallest puff ever, and I couldn't drive for what felt like three days, and I didn't know who I was."

Despite being unable to compete with the type of substance Tish took, Miley confessed that she was responsible for introducing her mom to weed. The "Flowers" singer revealed she did so to help the matriarch cope with anxiety whenever she was on tour.

Recalling Tish's reaction to the drug, Miley said: "She goes, 'OK, but just don't tell anybody 'cause I'm a good Christian woman.' But she loved it. She had the best time, and she smoked weed ever since."

Tish, who also appeared on Letterman's show, confirmed her daughter's words, saying:

"Honestly, I think my biggest fear was her moving out. She definitely had financial ways to be able to move out before she was 18, and you see that a lot with kids in Hollywood. But she didn't."

"I think I really picked my battles with her," the doting mother continued. As for whether Miley would dare to take another puff of Tish's weed, the 31-year-old confessed, "Usually, I fake it to be cool for my mom."

One of the speculated reasons for the rift within the Cyrus clan stemmed from Tish's second marriage to "Prison Break" star Dominic Purcell. However, Miley could not be happier for her mom, as previously reported by The Blast.

In August 2023, Miley played a significant role in her mother's marriage to Purcell by serving as her maid of honor. She raved about the emotional moment in an interview, recalling how happy she was to witness Tish's happiness.

"To see my mom this happy and in love is very emotional for me," the singer revealed. She praised the feelings between the couple, adding: "Dom and my mom share the sweetest, most genuine love. It's almost like it's for the first time, which is so fitting for my mom, who is such a young soul."

Besides being Tish's maid of honor, Miley walked her mother down the aisle in a beautiful ceremony hosted at her Malibu mansion. The doting daughter was proud to have played a crucial part in the matriarch's happiness, saying:

"To stand beside my mother and give her away to Dom is a moment I will cherish for the rest of my life."

Miley continued: "My whole life, my mom has been behind the scenes. She was always the one getting me ready for big days, starting with cheerleading competitions, then eventually on sets or backstage before a performance."

"She has never stopped celebrating me and has been so supportive of my decisions. I feel honored to be that person for her now that I'm older,' the superstar opened up," the 31-year-old added.

During her appearance on "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction," The Blast reported that Miley had addressed her speculated estrangement from Billy Ray. She shared the pros and cons of their relationship, declaring:

"He has a relationship and a foot on the ground to the real and nature, and he always did, even when he was super famous. I'm grateful for being able to watch him ahead of me."

Miley noted her father influenced her growth as an artist; however, the feud rumors were exaggerated. "There's no estrangement," she clarified, noting speculated beef was "just the way things played out."
