It has been almost four years since the passing of her husband, Nick Cordero; however, for Amanda Kloots, the events are vivid, as if they were yesterday.

In a deeply personal revelation, the fitness instructor opened up about the financial toll of her late husband Nick Cordero's hospitalization.

Despite the grief of losing her beloved partner, Nick Cordero, from COVID-19 complications, Amanda Kloots was left to navigate the hefty medical bills.

"The Talk" co-host opened up about the immense financial burden she was thrown into from her husband's medical treatment. About Cordero's hospital stay, Kloot said:

"Nick was in the hospital for 95 days, his whole body was being run by machines. The ventilator alone was -- and I think I might be under-quoting it -- $3,000 a day. Just the ventilator alone, on top of the 20 other machines that were running his body."

The staggering expenses left the mother-of-one in a state of shock, unsure of how she would manage to pay the mounting medical bills.

"When I heard that, I immediately was like, 'What am I going to do?' So you can imagine what the total bill was" she revealed. Kloots admitted that the financial impact did not fully hit her until after Cordero's death. In her words:

"So I don't think the financial magnitude really, really hit me until he passed away, and calls were coming in -- unfortunately death is a business." 

"I never thought I was going to lose my husband. Until the day he passed away, I really thought he was going to make it," Kloots shared during her appearance on SoFi's "Richer Lives" podcast

She also explained that she and Cordero had never planned for such a situation, assuming they had plenty of time ahead.

Amanda Kloots Honored Late Husband With Heartfelt Birthday Tribute

As Kloots continues her healing journey, she remains dedicated to preserving Cordero's memory.

Last September, The Blast noted a touching instance of this when she commemorated his birthday by sharing some of the most important lessons he taught her.

Accompanying the video filled with touching moments, Kloots wrote a poignant message celebrating his life and legacy.

"Happy Birthday Nick. You would have been 45 years old today! Sharing a few of my all-time favorite pics," she began. Kloots then encouraged her followers to embrace aging and cherish each year as a gift, writing:

"I think we worry about getting older, worry about what age we are turning this year. I encourage you to celebrate it. Celebrate life. That you have more time on this Earth. More time with the people you love. Each year is a blessing, an absolute miracle really."

The TV personality then concluded her heartfelt message by expressing her gratitude to Cordero for teaching her "how to live my life to the fullest."

In the reel uploaded to her Instagram page, the late Broadway star discussed his song, "Live Your Life."

"Go off and live your life. You live and you learn and come up on the other side a bitmore wise. 'Live your life,' that's what you have to do. Live your life to the fullest," Cordero stated.

As his inspiring words resonated, the video transitioned to a happy image of him. The reel, filled with cherished memories, featured the beloved late actor napping with a hat over his eyes, holding two cups of coffee, his wedding day, and special moments with his wife.

The scenes also captured Cordero enjoying time with their son, Elvis, and Kloots, illuminated by a small lamp.

While honoring her late husband's memory, the star is also taking significant steps toward finding happiness again.

Months after her heartfelt tribute to Cordero on what would have been his 45th birthday, Kloots candidly shared her thoughts on re-entering the dating scene.

Per The Blast, the TV host discussed her feelings about this new chapter in her life at an event celebrating Dick Van Dyke's 98 Years of Magic.

In the interview, Kloots playfully referenced Taylor Swift's highly publicized romance with Travis Kelce. "Oh, this is like my Taylor Swift Era? I don't know, is it...I don't know — tall dark and handsome era?" she joked, drawing a parallel between her own life and Swift's.

The interviewer then suggested she might be looking for her own "Travis Kelce." Embracing the idea, Kloots cheerfully dubbed this new phase her "Travis Kelce era," signaling her readiness.

Kloots Defended Her Decision To Date Amid Criticism

The 42-year-old, who initially refrained from dating due to her son, recently addressed the criticism during a candid conversation with Cheryl Burke on "Diving Deep."

Kloots acknowledged the challenges of navigating romantic relationships after such a profound loss. However, she emphasized her proactive approach in addressing public judgment.

"You know the criticism that came from 'Amanda Kloots is dating not even a year after Nick has died'? Well, I nipped it in the bud, and I was like, 'absolutely not,'" the actress asserted.

In addition to defending her choices, Kloots also used her platform to foster understanding and empathy.
