Amanda Kloots is opening up about her desire to date again, marking a significant step in her journey of healing after the tragic loss of her husband, Nick Cordero.

Despite criticism over her decision to start seeing other people, the TV personality is embarking on this new chapter in her life with strength and resilience.

Known for her openness about her journey, the "Talk" co-host acknowledged the unique challenges of stepping back into the dating scene.  This revelation comes after a period of reflection, marked by the untimely death of Cordero in July 2020 due to COVID-19 complications.

As she graced the carpet of the star-studded Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic special, Kloots spoke about the prospect of a new era in her life with ET Online.

Diving into the topic, she was asked about the upcoming chapter in her life, prompting Kloots to humorously draw parallels to pop sensation Taylor Swift and her thriving romance with NFL player Travis Kelce.

In a light-hearted exchange, the fitness instructor teased, "Oh, this is like my Taylor Swift Era? I don't know, is it... I don't know -- tall dark and handsome era?" The interviewer, playing along, suggested she might be seeking her own "Travis Kelce," referring to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end known for his athleticism and good looks.

With a playful nod to this new phase in her life, Kloots dubbed it her "Travis Kelce era," a time when she is open to finding love again.  With her enthusiasm shining through, she noted, "Yeah, it's my Travis Kelce era," before asking the interviewer if he could play the role of matchmaker in her journey.

However, despite her genuine and honest approach to dating, the 41-year-old faced criticism for exploring romantic connections after acknowledging she had gone on several dates. 

While navigating single parenthood with a three-year-old, Kloots had initially refrained from romantic involvement. But her choice to try again came with its own challenges, as she shared during a conversation with Cheryl Burke on "Diving Deep."

When asked about the transition, the "Fit for Christmas" actress expressed her initial hesitations, revealing that she cautiously tested the waters, opting for dates with other widowers.  She noted that the strategic choice "helped immediately to break down the discomfort of 'I'm coming in with a lot of emotional baggage.' You don't have to explain yourself."

Addressing the criticism surrounding her decision to date again relatively soon after Cordero's passing, the mother-of-one noted that she immediately took a proactive stance. 

She swiftly quashed any judgment, stating, "You know the criticism that came from 'Amanda Kloots is dating not even a year after Nick has died'? Well, I nipped it in the bud, and I was like, 'absolutely not.'"

Kloots then went further by hosting live and honest Instagram interviews with fellow widows to put "a face to what people were calling a horrible thing."

The 'Bullets Over Broadway' Star Remembered Nick Cordero On His Posthumous 45th Birthday 

Although she decided to start seeing other people, it has not stopped her from cherishing the late Broadway veteran's memory or celebrating his birthdays.

On what would have been his 45th, Kloots commemorated the bittersweet day with a touching Instagram reel where she shared valuable lessons learned from her beloved husband. 

The emotional clip began with Cordero offering profound wisdom by giving more depth to his song, "Live Your Life." The late star stated, "Go off and live your life. You live and you learn and come up on the other side a bit more wise. 'Live your life,' that's what you have to do. Live your life to the fullest."

Afterward, the footage transitioned into still images capturing various facets of his life, including holding cups of coffee, his wedding day, enjoying life with Kloots, and spending quality time with their son, Elvis.

The "DWTS" contestant expressed her love and admiration for her late husband in the caption. She encouraged others to celebrate life, emphasizing each year as a blessing and a miracle. 

Wrapping up her poignant message, Kloots expressed gratitude to Cordero for "teaching me how to live my life to the fullest," ending with a declaration of love.
