Zendaya Shamed For Perky Braless Minidress While Shopping

Zendaya looked stunning as she hit up jewelry store Bulgari during a shopping trip in Rome, Italy last summer. The 27-year-old actress, who boasts an ambassador status with the luxury jeweler, likely didn't have to pay for her purchases that day, but she did have to make do with a wave of shaming comments regarding her braless dress. Looking stylish in a chic, leggy minidress in gray, Zendaya flaunted her killer legs in a preppy daywear look, wearing black leather loafers as she carried a Louis Vuitton purse, but the hateful remarks were neither about the footwear nor the bag.

With shredded-effect rips and thigh slits, the minidress was doing wonders for the Challengers star's petite frame, with a ruched torso detail on some side adding fun flourishes.

Sporting her dark locks tied back and with a few loose strands framing her face, Zendaya completed her look with a monogrammed, multicolor bag from luxury designer Vuitton — clearly in brand ambassador mode, the former Disney star ensured that her accessories were from the other major brand she's signed to. Meanwhile, discreet gold earrings matched the actress' rings as she wore a light layer of makeup that brought out her features.

When The Daily Mail published the photos, many came out to call Zendaya "stunning," however she was shamed for her braless display.

Shaming Zendaya for her feminine-strong outfit, one user wrote: "I'll never understand how can woman feel ok to go out knowing everyone will just be staring at her nipples." Quickly firing back, another jumped in to reply: "I'll never understand how can men feel ok to judge what women wear while they walk around shirtless with their nipples on display."

Gaining both upvotes and downvotes, another said: "She is beautiful but no need for the braless! I wouldn't feel comfortable at all without one whilst out." Also out to criticize the A-lister was a user who stated: "She could have done better and wear a bra, there's no need to dress up like that." They also called Zendaya "cheap."

Fortunately for Zendaya, many chimed in to defend her. "That's just your point of view. I think the dress style works perfectly without a bra. also, it’s just more comfortable," one said. Zendaya, who boasts a $22 million net worth, has already been labeled a fashion icon, particularly for her carousel of tennis-inspired "method dressing" looks donned for the 2024 Challengers press tour.
