Nicolas Cage might not experience what it is like to be the grandfather of twins, as his former daughter-in-law is now solely in charge of their fate.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Weston Cage Coppola, the oldest of the Hollywood veteran's children, has lost his rights to his twin daughters. His ex-wife, Hila Cage Coppola, was granted sole custody with no visitation time for the father.
Nicolas Cage's son, Weston Cage Coppola, has been embroiled in a contentious divorce battle since 2023.

In the stipulation and order for custody and visitation documents, Hila and Weston acknowledged the Court's decision regarding their daughters, Venice and Cyress Cage Coppola.
Hila was granted sole legal and physical custody of the girls, with the stipulation stressing that she had complete control of their well-being, education, and residence. The first order read:
"Order granting permission to Petitioner/Mother sole decision-making powers to enroll minor children in a transitional kindergarten of Petitioner's choice."
"Order granting permission to Petitioner/Mother to apply for a passport for minor children without Respondent's signature, information, or involvement," the second term noted, while the third stated:
"Order granting permission for Petitioner to travel with minor children outside the United States for vacation purposes with time length not to exceed 2 months."
Weston Cage Coppola Has No Rights To His Children
It was unclear how Hila convinced the Court that her children were safer in her sole custody; however, she must have made valid points, as Weston did not receive visitation rights.
This means the "Dream Scenario" actor's son has no right to interfere in his daughters' lives and cannot see them either.
The order was a slap to the face for Nicolas and his ex-partner, Christina Fulton, as they had reportedly not met their grandkids thanks to Hila's interference.
The mother of two has it out for the Cage family, going as far as dragging her former father-in-law into her contentious divorce battle. In May, The Blast revealed Nicolas had refused to submit to a subpoena asking for his financial records.
In a letter to Nicolas's attorney, Brian G. Wolf, Hila's legal team claimed they wanted information about transfers between the actor's Trust and Weston. They stressed that these details were crucial to the former couple's divorce; however, the 60-year-old was not buying it.
Nicolas Cage's Counsel Rejected The Deposition Subpoena
Wolf, on behalf of Nicolas, objected to the deposition subpoena served by Hila. The attorney stressed that his client was not a part of her split from Weston and should not be involved as a third party.
"Responding Party objects to the Subpoena to the extent it seeks to impose duties and obligations that the California Code of Civil Procedure requires only of parties to the action," Wolf argued.
The lawyer noted that the subpoena was "grossly overbroad" by seeking Nicolas's bank statements and records. Wolf added that releasing the actor's financial details would not help Hila's case despite her claims.
In the letter written by Hila's team, they claimed Nicolas paid the majority of Weston's bills and living expenses.
Therefore, "the evidence sought, as modified herein, is relevant, substantive, and reasonably calculated to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence in this proceeding."
Weston Was Accused Of Hitting His Mother
Before the subpoena drama, The Blast reported that Nicolas's oldest son had been identified as a suspect in a possible battery case. Shockingly, the victim was none other than his mother, who was spotted nursing a black eye and fading bruises on her face.
Christina allegedly got into a verbal altercation with Weston that escalated into a physical altercation on April 28 in Los Angeles. Sources claimed an ambulance was called to her residence; however, she refused to be hospitalized.
As for Weston, he was long gone by the time police arrived, but that did not stop them from naming him a suspect. It was unclear if the 33-year-old would be booked as investigators were reportedly deliberating whether to pursue felony battery charges against him.
Nicolas's Oldest Son Has A History Of Mental Health Issues
The truth behind the alleged fight between Weston and his mother remained a mystery as Christina denied a physical altercation had occurred. She also requested privacy, implying she might not press charges against her son.
Christina's response was unsurprising as she has been a steady rock in Weston's corner. The 33-year-old has a history of mental health struggles, including a psychiatric hospitalization in 2011 following a violent incident in Los Angeles.
At the time, his mother blamed his mental health challenges on the Hollywood veteran, saying: "Nicolas Cage has damaged and interfered and done something absolutely horrific, and I need to just go get my son."
