Breakup season strikes again, with its latest victims being reality TV stars Carly Lawrence and Bennett Sipes.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the "Too Hot To Handle" alum recently filed to end her marriage to the "Love Island" star. Their breakup comes two years after they tied the knot.
Fans may have seen the divorce coming as Carly Lawrence and Bennett Sipes were previously shrouded in separation rumors.
Carly Lawrence Files For Divorce From Bennett Sipes After Two Years
In her court documents, Lawrence moved to dissolve her union with Sipes and cited Hollywood's favorite reason for divorce—"irreconcilable differences." She explained that they had been married for two years and a month before parting ways on Friday, June 7.
Lawrence did not make demands like the coverage of her attorney fees but asked the Court to terminate her and Sipes's rights to spousal support. She also noted that they had no community properties and attached a report about their combined assets and debts.
These assets would eventually be divided between the pair; however, it was unclear if a prenuptial agreement was in place to ease this process. The property list included a 2019 BMW 3 Series, multiple bank accounts, and $7,594 in debt.

Ten months before Lawrence filed for divorce, The Blast reported that she and Sipes were shrouded in separation rumors. Fan became concerned about the couple because of Sipes' absence on his then-wife's Instagram page.
However, Lawrence refuted the rumors on her Instagram Story during a Q&A session. She revealed the pair were still together when a fan asked, "Are you still married?"
"Ahhahahaha, yes. He's beside me [right now] on the plane," Lawrence replied, along with a picture of Sipes sleeping beside her. She also revealed her interest in shooting more reality TV shows like "Vanderpump Rules" instead of dating programs.

While Sipes was absent on Lawrence's social media page, he, on the other hand, enjoyed flaunting their romance. The media personality continued sharing PDA posts with his wife, including a steamy video of them set to Labrinth's "The Feels."
He captioned the clip, "Thanks for the wifey appreciation post @instagram." Unfortunately, the post did not resonate with Lawrence, who commented, "Babe wtf is this?"
"Um, like he said, 'an appreciation' post to you!! Unlike you, who NEVER posts about him, like never!!" a displeased fan responded, forcing Lawrence to explain her then-husband's absence. She jokingly replied, "I post him/he just stinks, so I can only post him like once a day."

Another reason fans suspected trouble in the duo's marriage was Lawrence's absence from a Valentine's Day tribute. However, Sipes honored her on the big day with a loving message and an explanation.
"Unfortunately, she got sick as a dog for valentines this year & I've been awful with socials for a while for my own reasons," he revealed on Instagram, adding: "But this is a PSA that my girl sets the bar high. The most beautiful, hardworking & caring person I know."
Sipes continued, "She has the biggest heart and the greatest personality. She's my best friend. Pushes me to be the best version of myself. I cherish every day and every memory with you. Here's to countless more & plenty of photos of you looking way better than me lol."

Lawrence appeared on the second season of "Too Hot To Handle," a reality dating show that saw her coupling up with Chase DeMoor early in the program. However, he betrayed her trust, and she went on to date another participant, Joey Joy.
Unfortunately, Lawrence's second relationship didn't last, and she announced their split in August 2021. She accused Joy of only dating her to gain followers and claimed she felt used when she found out.
After two heartbreaks, the blonde beauty found love again with Sipes, and they tied the knot in a private ceremony in May 2022. Lawrence raved about their relationship in an interview, per ScreenRant, saying:
"I knew Bennett was the one when I saw how big his heart is."
