The drummer from Echosmith is apologizing after Travis Barker called him out for "predatory" behavior for contacting his 13-year-old daughter on Instagram.
Graham Sierota issued a statement to The Blast, explaining the situation and making it clear he made a mistake.
"I had invited Alabama to my parents’ big family BBQ along with many other people, and it wasn’t until she responded that I realized her age at which point I apologized to her," Graham tells us.
He adds, "I’m really sorry and feel very badly about this. I didn’t realize she was a minor and assumed she was my age. I made a careless mistake and this is a big lesson for me. I would like to apologize again to Alabama, her dad Travis, and her family."
As we reported, the Blink-182 drummer thought it was "disgusting" and "predatory" after the 20-year-old musician invited 13-year-old Alabama Barker to his party.
Alabama also thought it was inappropriate, and not only told Graham she was a minor, but put him on blast by posting their DM conversation. "Hey guys! So once again I am bringing this to your attention because I'm a 13 year old girl and he is 21 / 20 super creepy," she wrote.
Graham has since made his Instagram page private.
Alabama Barker is the youngest daughter to Travis and former Miss USA Shanna Moakler.
She was born Christmas Eve, 2005 and was featured in the last episode of the family's old MTV reality show, "Meet the Barkers."
