'Jersey Shore' Angelina Pivarnick On The Hook For Several Criminal Charges

Angelina Pivarnick is swapping beachfront drama for courtroom tension as she faces a slew of criminal charges.

The "Jersey Shore" star is facing multiple criminal charges after an alleged incident at her New Jersey home. However, this will not be the first time the police have been involved in the star's life.

Known for her fiery personality and tumultuous relationships, Angelina Pivarnick previously called the authorities on her fiancé Vinny Tortorella.

The reality TV star is embroiled in legal troubles following an incident over the weekend. Pivarnick is confronting a range of charges in New Jersey, including simple assault, criminal mischief, obstructing the administration of law, and resisting arrest. 

These charges stem from a municipal summons issued on Sunday. Pivarnick's attorney argues that the situation has been exaggerated, echoing police statements that the details of the incident at the 37-year-old's home remain confidential.

The summons obtained by TMZ also provided little additional information, citing confidentiality for the lack of further details. Despite the limited information, Pivarnick will face these charges, with a court date set for July.

Attempts to uncover the specifics of the incident involving Pivarnick were reportedly met with silence from the Freehold Township Police. 

TMZ noted that the authorities cited legal exemptions related to domestic violence cases and ongoing criminal investigations as reasons for withholding information. However, James Leonard, Pivarnick's attorney, provided some insight, stating:

"This is nothing more than a very minor incident that was exacerbated by an adverse reaction to prescribed over-the-counter medication. We look forward to resolving this matter favorably and putting it behind us. Angelina is home resting and has no further comment at this time."

Leonard further noted that the municipal summons implied the incident is not particularly severe, though he declined to provide additional details.

While there is no evidence that Pivarnick's fiancé, Vinny Tortorella, was involved in her recent legal troubles, their tumultuous past adds complexity to the situation. 

The Blast shared last August that Pivarnick reportedly called the police on Tortorella just months after their engagement, which was prominently featured on "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation." 

The police report obtained by Page Six stated that Pivarnick contacted 911 to report an alleged domestic violence incident. But the TV personality decided against pressing charges when authorities arrived. This resulted in a "criminal investigatory record" being created. 

While Pivarnick's attorney, James Leonard Jr., confirmed the incident, stating that it had been resolved he also asked for privacy for the "Couples Therapy" star. In his statement, Leonard shared:

"I can confirm that Angelina did in fact call the police to her home. After speaking with the officers, Angelina decided not to file charges. This matter is now closed. Moving forward, Angelina would ask for privacy as it pertains to her personal life."

Tortorella's attorney also addressed the matter, affirming that the couple were still engaged and living together. He denied any wrongdoing on Tortorella's part, stating:

"My client and Ms. Pivarnick are still engaged and are still residing together. Mr. Tortorella denies any act of impropriety that would warrant police involvement and denies any act of domestic violence occurred." 

He also emphasized that no charges were filed, "No charges have been pressed against my client by Ms. Pivarnick or law enforcement. I ask that his privacy be respected in this regard."

Before Angelina Pivarnick and Vinny Tortorella's relationship hit turbulent waters, their love story had a dramatic beginning. Tortorella proposed to Pivarnick at a party she hosted to celebrate the finalization of her divorce from Chris Larangeira. 

The Blast's March 2022 report noted that Pivarnick and Larangeira filed for divorce after just over two years of marriage. 

Court documents filed in New Jersey revealed that Larangeira initiated the divorce on January 22, 2022. Around the same time, Pivarnick announced a social media hiatus to focus on her family.

Interestingly, this new divorce filing came less than a year after Pivarnick had filed her own documents to end their marriage. That initial case was dismissed for "lack of prosecution without prejudice" after neither party pursued it further.

In the wake of her initial divorce filing, Pivarnick embarked on a deeply personal quest to salvage her marriage. 

Speaking candidly about her determination to save their relationship, Pivarnick declared, "I am not going to get divorced. I am going to try everything that I can in my power to save my marriage, no matter what it is."

Describing the tumultuous period, she admitted, "It's been very hard. Hard is just an understatement. The whole entire thing, since the day he moved out and came back in, it's just been a whirlwind of craziness for both of us."

Publicly aired grievances, including allegations of infidelity on both sides and Larangeira's decision to temporarily leave their home, added to the couple's challenges.
