Bobby Brown is paying tribute to the daughter he shared with the late Whitney Houston, and touting a foundation launched in honor of Bobbi Kristina's death.
The 50-year-old New Edition singer wrote an open letter on Friday and reminded people about the formation of The Bobbi Kristina Serenity House.
In a personal message to Bobbi Kristina, who died July 26, 2015, he wrote, "Every day I hold you close to my heart."

Brown continued, "I think about so many of the things you used to do, from a little girl to a beautiful young lady. I just smile! It reminds me of how much I miss my little girl more and more every day. So loved and so missed."
The R&B star explains that, "In keeping the flame burning, our family has started The Bobbi Kristina Serenity House foundation that is doing great things to help others in need, the way you should have if you were here."

He ended with, "Krissi, on this special day, we honor you, we love you and we shine a light on your memory."
The foundation is focused on raising the awareness and prevention surrounding domestic abuse.
A mission statement on the website reads, "The Bobbi Kristina’s Serenity House is committed to empowerment; regaining power within, instead of seeking approval and power from the outside sources."
Bobbi Kristina was born March 4, 1993, and was the only child of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston.
After Whitney died in 2012, Bobbi Kristina became the sole beneficiary of her mother's estate.
Like her mother, Bobbi Kristina had her public struggles with substance abuse. She also became engaged to Nick Gordon, which turned out to be a volatile relationship.
When Bobbi Kristina was found face down a bathtub at home, Gordon performed CPR until the paramedics arrived. It was suspected that she may have been injured by Gordon during a domestic argument, but he was never charged for anything related to the incident.
Bobbi Kristina eventually died from lobar pneumonia on July 26, 2015, after being in a coma for nearly six months.
The medical examiner also noted immersion associated with drug intoxication as an underlying cause of death, but could never rule whether her death was accidental or intentional.
