Per Lifetime, the upcoming docuseries will give "an authentic, raw, and revealing look at Gypsy’s new life on the outside."

"From the joyful moments as she is free to make her own decisions for the first time, to the challenges of navigating life and relationships while facing her past, including the abuse she suffered at the hands of her mother, and Gypsy’s own notoriety and fame," the official description states.

"In this delayed-coming-of-age story, Gypsy must reconcile the pop-culture, celebrity version of herself while trying to forge her brand-new identity in a 'normal' world as wife, sister, daughter and most of all – a free woman," Lifetime said of the upcoming docuseries.

Lifetime shared a promo days before its release, but fans were not happy after seeing it.

Social Media Reacts To Lifetime's Sneak Peek Clip

In the sneak peek, Gypsy Rose claims she had bifocals when she was 14 years old. "I'm also 32 with dentures. I'm an old lady," she is heard saying in the clip.

"My teeth are something that I've always been insecure about," she added. "The hospital gave me free dentures because chemotherapy and treatments like that will rot your teeth."

After hearing Gypsy say she went through chemo, social media users were quick to slam the ex-convict.

"Wow, way to kick cancer survivors and those who have actually had chemo," one user wrote after watching the sneak peek. "Shame on Lifetime for celebrating a murderer who has yet to fully take any accountability.

"She's never had chemo," another claimed.

"Okay, I'm calling BS," one user commented. "NO ONE gets chemo unless you absolutely NEED IT."

"You can't fake cancer cells. No oncologist is going to give chemotherapy without a very specific diagnosis. No matter how good of an actor you and your mom were!"

For the record, there has never been any confirmation that Gypsy Rose Blanchard received chemotherapy treatment. In fact, PEOPLE Magazine reported that "Dee Dee forced her daughter to use a wheelchair (even though she could walk), shaved her head to give the appearance of going through chemotherapy and gave her medications that would induce symptoms similar to the conditions with which she said Gypsy was afflicted."
