Anna Kendrick In Braless Minidress Apologizes For Her Filthy Language

Anna Kendrick won fans over with her outfit and her caption as she updated her Instagram in a glittery minidress last year. In February 2023, the Pitch Perfect actress marked her attendance at the Directors Guild Awards, where it looks like her speech wasn't entirely clean. Sharing photos from her glamorous night as she stunned in a minidress covered in sequins, Anna jokingly captioned her post with an apology for "cursing in such a shiny dress." Fans left over 390,000 likes, with Gossip Girl star Blake Lively even leaving one.

Going sparkly with sequins all over her minidress, the Hollywood star opened with a sassy BTS pose as she flashed hints of her cleavage while rocking the braless trend. Keeping her accessories to a minimum, Anna donned drop earrings, plus her hair worn down, also glamming up with matte makeup complete with cheek blush and a glossy red lip.

Further photos included a red carpet shot as Anna smiled while showing off her look in a full-length snap, here affording a view of the diamante black high heels adding more pizzazz to her already jazzy outfit. Anna included shots of herself giving a speech to the soiree's audience, and it was likely here that she may have dropped a few cuss words. In a caption, the Love Life star wrote: "Thanks for having me DGA. Sorry for cursing in such a shiny dress."

Fans left long strings of heart emoji as they gushed over Anna, with one calling her "mesmerizing."

Anna is such a fan of expletives, she's even opened up about it. "My whole life I’ve been trying to convince people that they should take me seriously; looking like I was 10 when I was 18 made it more difficult. Using a combination of well-constructed conversation pieces then a handful of curses so that they knew I wasn’t just a precocious 10-year-old is a big part of it," she told Stylist.

Continuing, the Instagram favorite added: "When I was very young I got into trouble but then I think my parents were so tired of having to hold it in themselves that we just became one of those families that cursed all the time."

Anna's IG fans know to expect humor when she posts, and they more than got it with this selfie. Crouching down as she modeled a minidress worn over a black turtleneck in December 2022, Anna showed off her toned legs and tiny waist as she posed in front of a mirror, writing: "I mean, is it wrong to love yourself while wearing stripper heels?? Is it a crime???"
