According to the documents, Doherty is set to become a three-time divorcee and wants to resolve her differences with Iswarienko under family law. She noted that their case was ready for trial and requested that the Court begin the necessary proceedings.

Doherty listed the estranged couple's disputes, including the dissolution of their marriage, spousal support, property division, attorney fees, and costs incurred from the case.

It is unclear if the pair have a prenuptial agreement; however, the case may be a lengthy battle given the duo's tumultuous history.

Fans may recall that Doherty's separation from Iswarienko came amid her battle with stage 4 breast cancer and her estranged husband's alleged affair.

Last December, The Blast reported that Doherty had slammed media outlets for spreading false information about the end of her marriage to Iswarienko.

The drama began when the photographer's alleged pal claimed the pair had been separated two years before her brain tumor discovery.

The source argued that Iswarienko had informed his soon-to-be ex-wife about his extramarital relationship at the start of 2023 after New Year's. This revelation allegedly occurred a few days before Doherty fell and underwent an MRI that revealed her brain tumor.

However, Iswarienko's inner circle claims were false, according to Doherty, who bashed the allegations in a heated post on Instagram. She labeled the story "an absolute lie," writing:

"Let's Be Clear, the truth matters. I just received a disturbing phone call that @tmz_tv was going to run a story about me. The story supposedly comes from my husband's friends (soon to be ex) that he told me two years ago he was cheating on me, and we have had an open marriage."

Doherty clarified that she would address Iswarienko's affair and the decline of her third marriage on her "Let's Be Clear with Shannen Doherty" podcast. However, until she did, she warned media outlets and her estranged husband's pals to stop spreading false information.

"@tmz_tv please do more due diligence and to the 'friends/girlfriend' who tried to put this story out, I realize you're scared of the truth, but trying to circumvent it with lies will get you nowhere," Doherty concluded her message, adding, "#thetruthmatters."

The actress's words received support from fans who were appalled by the alleged attempt to cause her more pain amid her ongoing cancer struggle. One social media user penned:

"The audacity to put her through this when she is fighting for her life is unbelievable. I am so sorry you are going through this."

The "open marriage" claims came shortly after December confessed she learned about Iswarienko's two-year affair just before her brain tumor procedure in January 2023. She addressed the situation on the debut episode of her podcast, saying:

"I went into that surgery early in the morning, and I went in after I found out that my marriage was essentially over, that my husband had been carrying on an affair for two years."

"To not go in that surgery, even though, being very clear, he wanted to go, I couldn't go into that surgery with him there. I felt so betrayed," she lamented.

In January, The Blast revealed Doherty had come to terms with the possibility of her breast cancer journey tragically ending in death. She confessed in an episode of her podcast that she had envisioned her memorial service as less sad and more of a lively house party.

Doherty also stressed that her final moments wouldn't be open to everyone, noting that she had curated an intimate guest list. "There's a lot of people that I think would show up that I don't want there," she explained, adding:

"I don't want them there because their reasons for showing up aren't necessarily the best reasons, like, they don't really like me, and, you know, they have their reasons, and good for them, but they don't actually really like me enough to show up to my funeral."
