It's been nearly one month since Beth Chapman lost her battle to cancer and now her stepson Leland is paying tribute to the lost bounty hunter in a touching Instagram post.
Leland, 42, took to the gram and dedicated kind words to Beth after her passing.
He wrote, "I still can’t believe she’s gone. She would have been thrilled to see this. Family, friends, fans all coming together to honor her legacy. I want to say thank you to everyone for your well wishes and prayers for my family. I want to say thank you to everyone who helped put on and put together her beautiful memorial. I also want to thank my family for coming together and helping my dad and each other through this time. I know she’s proud, so thank you again from the bottom of my heart."
The photo is filled with Chapmans, friends, fans and a booted up Leland, who is prepping for surgery on his Achilles.
Rocking some crutches and throwing up the hang loose sign, Leland looked to be in good spirits amongst the family.
The A&E star was injured during a recent manhunt with his father, Duane “Dog” Chapman.
While chasing alleged fugitive Edward Morales in Adams County, Colorado, Leland busted his Achilles and will require surgery.
Dog says he lost 17 lbs since the passing of his wife on June 26.
In his first interview since Beth's passing, Dog told "Entertainment Tonight," "I can't eat. Two bites, I'm full ... I got to force-feed myself like I force-fed her."
And while he admits he's "trying to man up," for him, that means dealing with the pain head-on.
"I am a cry baby," Chapman continued. "I could cry talking about crying ... So manning up would be, not 'get over it,' but 'face it.'"
