Camila Cabello Reveals Who She Lost Her Virginity To - And How Old She Was!

Camila Cabello, born Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao, is becoming vulnerable. She revealed when she lost her V-card—and it was later than most women!

The Cuban-American singer and songwriter rose to fame as a member of the pop girl group Fifth Harmony, one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. She eventually went solo, releasing hits including 'Havana' and 'Señorita' with Shawn Mendes.

While her best-known relationship was with Shawn Mendes, she also dated Austin Mahone, Louis Tomlinson, Jacob Whitesides, and Michael Clifford.

Plus, in 2018, she was romantically linked to Matthew Hussey, whom she spoke highly of at the time. “Any time he’s there, I get super nervous. I stutter or my hands are shaky,” she told Marie Claire in November 2018. “It’s annoying, because we’ve been together for kind of like a long time now, but every time, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I have to talk now.’"

"He’s so similar to me. In person, we’re just weird and silly and stupid together. He makes me the happiest I’ve ever been in my life," she added.

On the 'Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard' podcast, the singer says she lost her V-card to her first boyfriend, Matthew Hussey, at age 20.

“I had my first relationship at that time,” the 27-year-old recalled, adding that she met Hussey on the 'Today' show set. “I was outside where they had the TV with the scripts. I had actually listened to his podcast before … because he had, like, a dating podcast. And he is married now, so congratulations.”

“We went to dinner that night, and that was my first relationship,” Cabello continued. “It was late for my first relationship. I was 20.”

Host Dax Shepard then asked Cabello if she had intercourse before that, which is when she confessed, “No! That was my first time having sex. First lovemaking was at 20, 21. … It was literally lovemaking. It was beautiful.”

According to the CDC, the average age for women to lose their virginity is 17.1 years old, but Cabello waited a few more years until she found the right man.

The 'Havana' singer also told Dax Shepard that her relationship with Hussey "sometimes" felt calculated because of his career as a relationship expert.

“But I think that also honestly made him a great partner. He was a really great person. It was like the perfect first relationship. It really expanded my world because he wasn’t in my industry too," she added.

“It was like, ‘Oh my God, have you ever seen 'Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown' and have you ever seen Studio Ghibli films?’ He just really expanded my references," the singer continued.

In June 2019, she shared a post on Instagram, seemingly confirming her split from Hussey.

“To my fans, if you really love me, please do not send people I love and care about hateful things,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “You doing that really hurts me, and it’s so unnecessary and heavy and damaging to add more pain to pain. There’s a real person behind your tweets. You spamming them with hateful, insensitive things is really not funny, is causing all of us pain, and doesn’t at all reflect the values I talk about.”

This came just one month before Camila confirmed her relationship with Mendes.

While Cabello and Mendes dated for a while, the two were actually friends first.

“You know, I thought he was cute, but I was like, ‘He’s doing other stuff, so whatever,’” she said during Mendes's 2020 Netflix documentary 'In Wonder.'

“And then, I guess it must have been about four or five years ago, we were backstage at this Taylor Swift show," she added. "I went to his dressing room to say hi. And we, like, started writing this song ['Señorita']. Then after that, we like, spent a lot of time with each other because we had the song together and we did a whole Jingle Ball tour together. And that’s really when the f-cking saga started. I really liked him. I guess he liked me, but I don’t really know.”

The two split in 2014.
