“Southern Charm” star Kathryn Dennis’ ex-boyfriend is giving Thomas Ravenel an assist in his attempt to strip his ex of custody.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Dennis’ ex, Ashley Pillar, has filed a declaration trashing Dennis.

In the docs, 40-year-old Pillar says he met Dennis after moving to Charleston. They started talking in early 2016 and lost touch over the Summer when she went to rehab. They got back in touch in the fall of 2016 and. Began dating through the Summer of 2017.

Pillar says he is not helping Ravenel “out of vindication against Kathryn. I did not want to get involved in this case at all and know that Kathryn went to great lengths to “ruin” certain individuals who testified against her in the first custody case.”

He says, “I believe the two children are risk here and that it would not be right if I did not inform the court about my experience with Kathryn.”

Pillar goes into great detail about his time with Dennis. He claims their relationship was “a saga of drama that I wish I could forget. Kathryn is sweet, charming, smart and articulate, but I realized through our relationship that almost everything she presents to the world is a façade.”

Dennis’ ex claims her home was in a “state of disrepair”, had a “inordinate amount of prescription medication bottles” she carried with her and details alleged breakdowns by Kathryn.

He claims that Dennis would “self-medicate herself on uppers and downers depending on her mood every day. She always took Adderall, but if she got anxious or upset about something, which happened frequently, she would take downers to calm herself.”

Pillar even claims that she had serious drinking issues and would routinely mix her meds with alcohol. He says it would cause her to constantly be late for appointments and filming for “Southern Charm.” He says, “one night before Kathryn was supposed to fly to Florida to film a scene for the show, Kathryn got so intoxicated that she almost missed her flight.”

He says, “This is one of many occasions I had to take care of Kathryn due to her drinking, partying, or sleeping late on pills. The “Southern Charm” staff had to deal with this as well. During filming that season, Kathryn’s pay was cut because she consistently failed to show up for filming on time.”

Pillar submitted the declaration on Ravenel’s behalf to support his recent custody grab, in which he accuses her of failing a recent drug test. Dennis has disputed the accuracy of the results.

Earlier this year, as part of the custody battle, Ravenel had been trying to get Dennis to authenticate alleged XXX photos she sent Pillar, who had provided them Thomas.

Dennis’ lawyers have refused to play the game and denied any alleged photos have any bearing on the custody battle.

The drama is all a part of the ongoing custody battle between Ravenel and Dennis.

Back in November 2018, Ravenel filed a lawsuit against Bravo and “Southern Charm” producers demanding a judge stop them from broadcasting unaired footage on the show.

Ravenel filed the docs as part of his custody battle with Dennis. She filed for primary custody of the children back in October. Dennis had her custody taken away in 2016 after failing a drug test but was awarded joint custody this year after completing rehab and staying clean.

In his suit against Bravo, Ravenel says the network and “Southern Charm” producers “encouraged” his ex to file for custody against him to create drama on the show.

He demanded Dennis not be awarded primary custody despite her request. Ravenel, who is about to be on trial for an alleged sexual assault in South Carolina, claimed he learned that Bravo and producers have unaired footage of his kids and ex talking about the legal battle and it was to be aired on the upcoming season. The reality star sued demanding a South Carolina judge prohibit the sensitive footage from airing on the show.

Ravenel would later file docs accusing Dennis of buying drugs from friends and show producers and even accused her of committing a hit-and-run.

The case is ongoing.
