Boyce is best known for playing Luke Ross on the Disney Channel series, "Jessie," and also as the voice of Jake on the popular Disney Junior animated show, "Jake and the Neverland Pirates."

A statement from Boyce's family read, "It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron."

It continued, "He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated."

He lived in Los Angeles, however his family did not say if he was at home when he passed.

Boyce's family says, "The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him."

It's unclear what type of illness the star was battling, but his death has taken everyone by complete surprise.

Boyce posted a photo of himself just one day ago, and fans are now commenting on the post, praying and hoping that the announcement is not real.
