A few days ago, Monk shared a video on TikTok captioned, "Surprising my boyfriend with short hair."  She had him close his eyes and she talked to the camera saying she "got her nails done." When she said he could open his eyes, he saw the long ponytail of her hair in her hands and her new shoulder-length look.

"There's no way," he shouted. "It's so short. It looks so good, and so short. You said you were never gonna cut your hair."

The acting definitely fooled quite a few people because many commented on Monk's new short-hair look.

"I love that he immediately said how good it looks," one person wrote. Another said, "As a long-haired girl, this made me teary. Cutting off your hair is like cutting off a part of your soul. You go girl."

And then there were the people who simply weren't buying that this interaction was real at all.

"Can anyone else see the filter glitch thing by her face/hair?" one person wrote in the comments. Another added, "The way she’s holding the hair she 'cut' off just makes me think she’s holding hair extensions and her long hair is tucked back haha."

Brooke Monk Shared Some More Videos Sporting Short Hair

After sharing the original video of her new hairstyle, Monk shared a few short follow-up videos. All of them received millions of views.

In one video captioned, "Hair holds memories," viewers started to wonder if maybe something was up. In the short clip, she's holding her cut hair and then puts it back so she once again has long hair.

"Wait is this in reverse?" one viewer asked in the comments.

Another said, "Guys I think it’s a clip of her with her long hair 1st then she films her without long hair…but she switches the two clips to make it look like it went short back to long."

One other viewer is just perplexed at it all saying, "Honestly I’m also confused if it’s short or not lol."

In another recently shared video, Monk shows everyone that they were pranked as she pulls her long hair from behind her to the front while smirking. The video received more than 25 million views and nearly 17,000 comments.

"So we got pranked so badly," one person wrote. Another added, "THIS IS WHY I HAVE TRUST ISSUES," and many others felt that sentiment deep down sharing the same.

One person shared, "You were kinda eating up the short hair tho."

Many actually commented that they cut their hair because of her and now they feel betrayed.

And Then Came The Official Apology...

Monk and her boyfriend decided it was time to issue a formal apology for pranking everyone and taking it as far as they did.

"So as we all know by now, my haircut video was a prank for you guys and we just want to come on here, we didn't realize you would feel so hurt by it," she said. "And I know you guys kind of expect this behavior from me but it was especially shocking to see Sam in on the prank."

They both said they were sorry and then when she got up and left the room, he said, "She made me do it. You know I would never do you guys like that."

Many viewers dropped into the comments to say an apology video was not necessary.

"Please tell me this isn’t serious! I thought it was a cute harmless prank! Awesome prank! Yall are the best!" one viewer shared.
