Donald Trump Trolled Over Alleged Nickname For Stormy Daniels: 'I Wonder If He Calls Melania That'

As former President Donald Trump's hush money criminal trial progresses, various witnesses have been called to take the stand.

Today's trial featured a scathing testimony from former adult film star Stormy Daniels, who gave a detailed breakdown of her encounters with Trump.

During her testimony, Daniels made some shocking revelations, including a comment Trump allegedly made about his wife, Melania Trump, and a nickname he gave her after their alleged sexual encounter.

In Manhattan criminal court, Trump's hush money trial resumed with former adult film star Stormy Daniels taking the stand. The hush money agreement forms the crux of the criminal case against the former president, who faces 34 felony counts for allegedly falsified records to conceal the payment.

At the start of her testimony, Daniels delved into her childhood, adolescence, and educational background. She provided insights into her upbringing in Louisiana, revealing that she was born Stephanie Clifford into a "very low-income" single-parent household.

Midway through the testimony, Daniels opened up about her sexual encounter with the ex-president after claiming that they never used protection and that she assured him she had not tested positive for any sexually transmitted infections.

Daniels told the court that at one point during their alleged intercourse, they got into the "missionary position," and she recalled "staring at the ceiling."

When asked if she felt threatened by Trump, she said, "There was an imbalance of power for sure. He was bigger and blocking the way, but I was not threatened either verbally or physically."

Daniels further noted that when she left the hotel room, Trump told her, "Oh, it was great. Let's get together again, honey bunch."

People on X (formerly Twitter) found the former president's alleged use of the term "honey bunch" jarring, with some even noting that Trump's niece, Mary Trump, once wrote about her uncle calling her "honey bunch."

One person wrote, "Am I the only one who remembers that @MaryLTrump mentions in her fantastic book that Trump used to call her 'honey bunch'?!"

Another person stated, "'Honey Bunch.' I wonder if he calls Melania that," along with a laughing face emoji.

"Oh Lord, my ex lovingly used to call me Honey Bunch. That coming from Trump just ruined those memories," a third person commented.

Another X user joked, "He should have paid her another 130K for calling her 'Honey Bunch.'"

One more person said, "If this is true, he's called other women honey bunch. Probably even Marla, Melania, and even Ivanka. And they will know Stormy Daniels is telling the truth."

During her testimony, the 45-year-old vividly described the luxurious penthouse suite where she allegedly had dinner with Trump. Daniels noted that Trump was wearing a "silk or satin" pajamas upon her arrival.

She added that she politely requested he change into more appropriate clothing. Upon Trump's return in a dress shirt, they engaged in conversation at the dining room table, delving into topics such as her upbringing and career aspirations.

Daniels recounted the billionaire mogul comparing her to his daughter Ivanka Trump: "You remind me of my daughter because she is smart and blonde and beautiful, and people underestimate her as well."

The comment was made during discussions about her potential appearance on NBC's "The Apprentice," which never happened.

Trump, who has previously denied any sexual involvement with the former adult film star, shook his head in disagreement as Daniels brought up his wife's name during her testimony.

Daniels claimed that she asked about Melania Trump while they were having dinner.

She recalled Trump allegedly making a very dismissive remark and assuring her not to worry because he and Melania didn't "even sleep in the same room."

Daniels' mention of Melania's name seemed to have affected Trump, who, according to his former aide Hope Hicks, allegedly "values" his wife's opinion and was "concerned" about how she would view the news of his alleged affairs.

Melania's silence about Trump's hush money trial and her not appearing in court to support him have been mistaken for lack of interest in the case. However, recent reports claim she shares Trump's opinion about the trial.

According to the New York Times, a source disclosed that Melania privately called the trial a "disgrace" that amounts to election interference. Still, the former first lady's ex-aide, Stephanie Grisham, questioned the report, seemingly insinuating that that isn't Melania's style.

"If that were the case, she would at least put that out on X. She would say something," said Grisham during a chat with CNN's Erin Burnett. "Melania Trump absolutely does what she wants to do. And if she felt this was a disgrace, she would say something."
