Drake's Mansion Taped Off By Police After Shooting Incident That Left A Man Injured

Rapper Drake's mansion in Toronto has been taped off by police following a shocking shooting incident that left one individual injured.

According to reports, the shooting occurred near Drake's property. The hip-hop artist, who is presently in a heated rap feud with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar, has promised to cooperate fully with police officers as they investigate the incident.

The "One Dance" crooner is reportedly unharmed after the shootout that occurred near his mansion in Toronto. According to the New York Post, the shooting left Drake's security guard critically injured, and cops have completely taped off the musician's $100m property.

The security guard reportedly suffered gunshot wounds to his upper chest and was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. Drake, on the other hand, is being cooperative with the authorities.

Toronto Police shared that the suspect drove away from the Bridle Path neighborhood and that there is currently no description of the people involved in what seemed to be a drive-by shooting.

The rapper's stunning 50,000-square-foot mansion, dubbed "The Embassy," gained notoriety in 2020 after it was spotlighted in Architectural Digest.

"Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel," Drake told AD about his intention to build a long-lasting home in Toronto.

The shocking shooting incident at Drake's home comes amid his heated feud with rapper Kendrick Lamar.

The two musicians have recorded various songs accusing each other of terrible actions. Lamar sang about Drake being a "pedophile" in one of his diss tracks, a serious allegation that Drake has since denied in his own song response, "The Heart Part 6."

"I never been with no one underage/ but now I understand why this the angle that you really mess with," Drake raps. "Just for clarity, I feel disgusted, I'm too respected / If I was f--king young girls, I promise I'd have been arrested / I'm way too famous for this sh-t you just suggested."

He later emphasized in the song that his "is not a name that you gon' see on no sex offender list."

In his diss track response to Lamar, Drake name-dropped actress Millie Bobby Brown, whom he has had a controversial friendship with since she was 14 years old. Drake also rapped about Lamar's fiancée, Whitney Alford, claiming she has him as her phone screensaver.

"I'm your baby mama's screen saver,'" Drake raps. "Only f---kin' with Whitneys, not Millie Bobby Browns, I'd never look twice at no teenager."

In Lamar's previous diss tracks, "Not Like Us" and "Meet The Grahams," he made very serious allegations against his industry peer, even going as far as using a photo of Drake's house in Toronto, plastered with sex offender markers, as the cover photo for one of the songs.

"Say, Drake, I hear you like 'em young / You better not ever go to cell block one / To any b--ch that talk to him and they in love / Just make sure you hide your lil' sister from him," Lamar raps on  "Not Like Us."

The rapper and actress's friendship when she was 14 and he was 31 was very controversial after Brown called him a "great friend and a great role model" and said they texted each other.

Brown had previously revealed that Drake invited her to one of his concerts, after which they began talking, with the rapper giving her advice "about boys" and "helping" her.

After Brown's comments sparked controversial headlines, she addressed the matter by defending her friendship with Drake.

"Why u gotta make a lovey friendship ur headline? U guys are weird… for real," Brown stated at the time, per Daily Mail.

Last year, Drake also seemingly addressed the issue in his song "Another Late Night." He rapped, "Weirdos in my comments talkin' 'bout some Millie Bobby, look / Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin' / Or send a finger to your mama in some FedEx boxes / Open up that sh-t, it's jaw droppin', really shockin', ayy."

Famous wrestler Shawn Michaels has invited Drake and Lamar to WWE to fight and put an end to their feud.

Michaels came into the picture after Lamar rapped about his popular wrestling move in his diss track, "Not Like Us." In the song, Lamar said, "Sweet Chin Music and I won't pass the aux."

Reacting to this, Michaels wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "A little Sweet Chin Music goes a long way."

He continued, "@kendricklamar, you and @Drake are formally invited to WWE NXT to settle this thing. I'm even offering my services to mediate."
