Duane "Dog" chapman talked to reporters outside of his Hawaii home.
Beth Chapman lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday at age 51. She was put in a medically-induced coma over the weekend and never recovered.
Family, friends, and fans are all mourning her death. And on Wednesday, her husband Duane Chapman spoke to the media for the first time about her passing and the difficulties he's going through.
"Dog" said that while they knew Beth would pass at some point from cancer, the end came very quickly:
“For a few years we knew this day would come. It came really unexpected, really fast. All of her clothes, her make-up, everything. We didn’t prepare.”
“You kind of try to remember that you’re celebrating life, but right now we’re mourning the death."

He also took time to warn people of fake online donation pages seeking money on behalf of the family:
“We don’t need any money at all. Please, save your money. There’s nothing being authorized from any of us.”

The family says that their will be memorial services for Beth in both Hawaii and Colorado. The dates and locations of those have not yet been announced.
