Mauricio Umansky has reportedly followed through on his plans to relocate from his shared home with Kyle Richards amidst their ongoing separation.
According to new reports, the real estate boss has moved into a luxury condo next to an A-list neighbor.
Mauricio Umansky Is No Longer Living With Kyle Richards
A source close to Richards and Umansky's marital situation has disclosed that the latter purchased his residence in West Hollywood. His new home is in the same building where Matt Damon owns an $8.6 million unit.
The insider claimed the former lovers "have been living separately for the last few months, and he's been staying there."
They added that Richards and Umansky have "both been traveling a lot recently, so it's working out where they don't stay under one roof."
While Richards reportedly intends to remain in their primary residence, the informant mentioned to Us Weekly that Umansky "will frequently visit" while she is away.
Even though the estranged couple have been separated since July 2023, they are yet to officially file for divorce. As the source claimed, starting the divorce proceedings is "not an option they are exploring" at the moment.
The reason for that allegedly lies in it being "too messy financially as Kyle has a huge stake in The Agency," which is Umansky's real estate company.
Fans Will Never Know The Real Reason Behind Richards & Umansky's Separation
Notably, viewers got an intimate glimpse into the rollercoaster journey of Richards and Umansky's union during "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" which recently concluded its 13th season.
The season climaxed with the revelation of their separation during the finale, with Richards stating in one confessional, "There were things that happened that made me lose my trust that I wasn't able to recover from."
When the 55-year-old faced tough questions during the show's reunion, she affirmed that she would never disclose the "real reason" behind her and Umansky's decision to split up.
"It's nobody's f-cking business. With any marriage, there are issues that you have. They come up. You get busy, you've got kids," she firmly said to Andy Cohen during the March 2024 reunion.
Umansky Is Not Bothered By Richards' Connection With Morgan Wade
Around the same time, Umansky addressed his ex's close bond with country singer Morgan Wade, surprisingly sharing his approval of it.
Per The Blast, the 53-year-old made his stance known on a March episode of his Netflix series, "Buying Beverly Hills." He expressed:
"They definitely have some sort of a connection together; there's no question about that. They spend a lot of time together."
From his comments, fans surmised that the businessman was dedicated to minding his business about the true nature of Richards and Wade's relationship. That speculation was fueled further when Umansky shared during an interview:
"Maybe one of the reasons I don't want to ask is because I don't want to put the extra pressure on her. If it's working for her and it's giving her the opportunity to be dealing with our separation… I'm good with that."
Will Richards & Wade Ever Open Up About Their Bond?
While Umansky seemingly has no problem with whatever is happening with his estranged wife and Wade, the pair are committed to denying romance speculation.
Unfortunately for the duo, things became more complicated when an image showing Wade affectionately caressing Richards's derrière surfaced online.
It also did not help when Richards unveiled a cowgirl hat tattoo that some onlookers thought was a tribute to the 29-year-old.
With rumors about a possible romance between the two building up, a source asserted that Richards is "confused" and reportedly "excited to have these feelings after losing connection with Mauricio in their marriage."
Are Kyle Richards & Mauricio Umansky Dragging Out Their Marital Drama?
The Blast previously reported that insiders claimed that Richards and Umansky might be prolonging their relationship issues to earn more money and exposure for themselves.
They pointed to the pair's continuous discussions about their separation, without pointing out the main problems with their union, as an indication to drag things out.
The situation worsened when it became news that their breakup would be a major storyline in the second season of "Buying Beverly Hills."
Surprisingly, no one has publicly called either party out for prolonging the situation and even those in their circle salute their choice.
In fact, Richards and Umansky's friends see leveraging their personal struggles for professional advancement as a strategic move on their part. Their only rule is that the ex-couple are comfortable with it.
