Khloe Kardashian has kept her April 17 bikini photo live, this despite a massive wave of backlash from her Instagram followers. The reality star, 39, raised eyebrows with her Turks and Caicos beach sunbathe this month, but it wasn’t the photo that was troubling fans. In a caption, Khloe suggested that she was out of shape, saying that it was time to “up” her workout game — 2022 marked the TV star losing weight, with fans now thinking she’s slimmer than ever. Users, who are used to messages of body-positivity from Khloe, accused her of promoting eating disorder culture, and popular replies called her “disappointing” and her message “embarrassing.”

Bronzing her sensational body on a vacation also bringing in sister Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe kept her caption fitness-focused, writing: “This post is for me to be motivated! Come on Khloé! You got this. Time to turn up the cardio and weights.”

Fans seemed horrified. “Oh this is so disappointing,” a popular reply read. “SERIOUSLY??? This is the caption?? You’re embarrassing,” another said. Begging Kardashian to consider the possible consequences of posts as a celebrity with a mass fanbase, a further fan wrote: “You have no idea of your influence, please reconsider promoting eating disorder culture. We are losing people everyday to this disease.”

‘Impossible Beauty Standards’


Fans, more than familiar with the glossy Kardashian image, feared what this post could do.

“Please, can “influential” women stop spreading their insecurities and creating impossible beauty standards?” one fan asked. Khloe, once heavier and with a history of battling her weight, lost plenty of weight following her split from NBA player Tristan Thompson in 2022. She even denied taking weight loss drug Ozempic as 43-year-old sister Kim also faces allegations of using the drug.

Speaking out after fans continued to suggest that she was on Ozempic, Khloe stated: “Let’s not discredit my years of working out. I get up five days a week at 6am to train. Please stop with your assumptions. I guess new year still means mean people.” Proving that she will reveal what some stars prefer to keep secret, the mom of two continued: “I openly talk about my nose job and anyone who ‘looks up’ to me must know I’ve lost over 60 pounds over the years,” adding: “So recently the only change is the bangs. I didn’t know I had to do a running list.”
