Rihanna Says She's Done Having Her 'Nipples Out' Now That She's 'A Mom'

Rihanna is looking back on her fashion choices over the years and can't believe some of the clothes she wore.

The singer recently weighed in on her risque appearances, gushing in disbelief over how she had her "nipples out," and shared that that era is over now that she is a mother.

On the red carpet at a recent launch event for her Fenty X Puma shoe, the "Diamonds" singer looked back on some of the revealing ensembles she'd donned over the years and expressed disgust over them, per Vogue Magazine.

Rihanna has since evolved into a fine 36-year-old entertainer from her early days and has gracefully entered motherhood with her partner, ASAP Rocky.

It seems maturity is taking its toll on the singer, as she disclosed she wouldn't be caught wearing those looks again.

"I've done so much sh-t in my life. I've had my nipples out, my panties out. But now, those are the things which, I guess as a mom and an evolved young lady — emphasis on 'young' — there are things I feel like I would never do. Like, 'Oh my God, I really did that? Nips out?'" the singer shared.

In her conversation with the news outlet, the musician-turned-mogul went further to open up about her fashion remorse, reminiscing about a brown tan suit that she said made her resemble a "UPS driver."

"Why would you put me on the spot like this?" she remarked shyly after being asked to disclose her fashion regret.

"But, oh my God, it was something similar to this, which is kind of ironic," she continued. "It was a brown tan suit that we all loved so much, but the day we put it on, I was like, 'Mmm, it's giving UPS driver,' and that is not cute. Not for the red carpet anyways."

She went on to reveal that her proudest fashion moment was wearing the Guo Pei gown to the 2015 Met Gala.

"Nobody will ever forget that and I will never forget the feeling of discovering that designer based off of the design challenge that Anna gave me," she said. "And damn! You know what, no one would ever expect this, but there's also the Stella McCartney crop top and skirt and the party dress that she made me for that same [Met Gala] with my little ass crack out."

In a conversation with the BBC, Rihanna said she became "too comfortable" wearing pajamas and sweats after having her second son last year.

"With the first pregnancy, I feel like I was able to wear heels all the way through," she said. "But then with the second pregnancy, you have a toddler, a belly, it's winter, you have a coat, a baby bag. You're like, heels? Hmm, maybe not. That's why I got a little bit more creative with my comfortable style.

"And then I got too comfortable after I had my second kid, I just was in robes, PJs, sweats. And now I'm playing again. Now I'm having fun with my clothes," she continued.

As if to suggest she seemingly lost touch with herself, the "Umbrella" hitmaker recounted how fashion had helped her rediscover herself.

According to the singer, a reemergence to the spotlight afforded her "a rediscovery" and the license "to even allow myself that space mentally to approach my closet and create stuff."

"After a while, when you have kids, you think, this is the dumbest [stuff], the least important. It really is the least important thing. But it does something for you as a woman, and as a mum, that's important for us," Rihanna quipped.

Rihanna recently unveiled her "biggest hack" for dressing her two sons and gushed about how they're "living the greatest life." The pop star has two sons with rapper A$AP Rocky: RZA Athelaston Mayers, born in 2022, and Riot Rose Mayers, born in 2023.

She said that her "biggest hack" to approaching her son's fashion game is to dress them like their dad.

"I was like, 'You know what, I have the biggest hack - their dad,'" she told ET. "When I dress them, I always try to dress them like Rocky."

"It's really fun, it's cute to see my kids like wear stuff that I made and designed [through my Fenty x Puma collaboration]. It's really incredible," Rihanna added.

The nine-time Grammy winner went on to gush about the quality of her son's lifestyle, saying, "They have it the best. They're living the greatest life and the love that they have from everyone. They know they're loved. I beam to see it in their eyes, knowing that everybody in this house is at your beck and call."
