Taylor Swift Seemingly Shades Kim Kardashian In New 'Unhinged' Song From 'The Tortured Poets Department'

Almost ten years after their feud started, Taylor Swift appears to slam Kim Kardashian in one of her new 31 tracks featured on her latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.'

Swift previously addressed the feud on her album 'Reputation' in 2017 in the song 'Look What You Made Me Do.'

Of course, as all Swifties know, the 'Love Story' singer has had a longtime feud with Kim Kardashian and her ex Kanye West. It all began back in 2009, when West stormed the MTV VMAs stage in the middle of Swift’s acceptance speech, claiming that Beyoncé should have won the award.

"Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!" he said when walking on stage.

Shortly after the incident, Swift told reporters, "I was standing on stage, and I was really excited because I'd just won the award, and then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage … And then I wasn't excited anymore after that."

The feud continued when the rapper later called out Swift in his song 'Famous' about the moment, rapping, “Me and Taylor still might have sex / I made that b-tch famous.”

Kardashian claimed that Swift knew of the infamous 'Famous' lyric. "She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't," she said at the time. "I swear, my husband gets so much sh-t for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved."

Now, fans are convinced that Swift addressed the feud with Kim Kardashian in a new song off of her 'The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology' album.

Right off the bat, fans noticed that the new song, 'thanK you aIMee,' has only three capitalized letters, which spell out "KIM."

Furthermore, Swifties dissected the lyrics, many of which seemingly hinted at the singer's feud with Kim Kardashian.

"When I picture my hometown / There's a bronze spray-tanned statue of you / And a plaque underneath it  / That threatens to push me down the stairs, at our school," Swift sings as she opens the song.

"And I can't forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed 'F-ck you, Aimee' to the night sky, as the blood was gushin' / But I can't forget the way you made me heal, " she adds.

"I changed your name and any real defining clues. And one day, your kid comes home singin' a song that only us two is gonna know is about you," the lyrics continue.

But that's not all. The bridge goes:

"And maybe you've reframed it / And in your mind, you never beat my spirit black and blue / I don't think you've changed much / And so I changed your name and any real defining clues / And one day, your kid comes home singin' / A song that only us two is gonna know is about you."

After hearing the song, social media users went wild.

After the release, social media users flooded TikTok and X to talk about the album, including the apparent Kim Kardashian references in 'thanK you aIMee.'

TikTok user riristea called the lyrics to the song "unhinged."

One X user said, "She really said, 'Here’s 30 songs, and also f-ck you, Kim Kardashian.' "

"[I] didn’t have Taylor Swift writing a better diss track than Drake, Kendrick and J. Cole on my bingo card….thoughts and prayers to Kim Kardashian," another wrote along with a GIF of two people laughing.

One Swiftie declared, "I DID NOT HAVE TAYLOR SWIFT GAGGING KIM KARDASHIAN ON MY 2024 BINGO CARD."

After listening to her new album, another X user wrote, "Taylor cooked the plastic out of Kim Kardashian."

"KIM KARDASHIAN GOT WRECKED. I NEED TO SEE HER KID SINGING LYRIC ABOUT WHAT A D-RTBAG HER MOTHER IS," one user exclaimed.

Swift also spoke out about her feud with the reality star and rapper in a TIME Magazine interview in December 2023.

“That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before,” she recalled in her profile as 2023’s Person of the Year. “I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”
