Selena Gomez received a new kidney from her BFF Francia Raisa, who has been a close friend and confidante to Selena over the years and ended up giving her the organ she desperately needed.
Francia Raisa is a 29-year-old actress who is best known for starring in “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and played a cheerleader in “Bring it On: All Or Nothing.”
Raisa most recently landed a big role in the “Black-ish” spinoff, “Grown-ish.”
The girls originally met at a charity function for a children’s hospital after being paired up in the same group. According to Raisa, they just “clicked.”
We are told that the two have been inseparable ever since, with Francia even dancing on Selena’s tour.
When Selena’s family was not a match for a kidney, Francia stepped up to the plate without hesitation.
The Blast broke the story, Selena underwent kidney transplant surgery back in June.
