Rick Schroder Warned to Finish Up Divorce with Ex-Wife Weeks After Arrest

"NYPD Blue" star Rick Schroder has been separated from his wife for almost three years, but a judge is warning them to hurry up and finalize things in the divorce or he will be forced to keep the two married.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Schroder and his estranged wife, Andrea, have been ordered to show up in court and explain why they have dragged out their divorce case for almost three years.

If they don't want to appear in court, they can either file a judgment package for their divorce ... or just dismiss the case all together.

Schroder, who starred on "Silver Spoons" as a child, married Andrea Bernard in 1992, and they had 4 children. She filed for divorce in 2016 after almost 24-years of marriage and cited irreconcilable differences.

It's unclear why the two have not been able to shore things up, but it could have something to do with Schroder being preoccupied after being arrested twice in the past year for felony domestic violence against his current girlfriend.

Officials declined to file charges against the actor for the first incident, but have not yet made a decision regarding the arrest earlier this month.

49-year-old Schroder did post a photo the other night while playing a game of darts with his girlfriend, and his family recently reportedly tried to hold an intervention for the star over "non-stop partying."
