The mole turned out to be melanoma, which is cancerous in nature and is quite a prevalent form of skin cancer.

The Fortnite gamer also expresses his hope, as well as his doctors' optimism, that detecting cancer early on can make a difference in his life and is not a death sentence.
"I had another dark spot appear near it, so today they biopsied that and removed a larger area around the melanoma with the hopes that under the microscope they will see clear non-melanoma edges and we will know we got it," he continued.
Ninja also went further to create some awareness and encouraged people to get checked, writing, "I'm grateful to have hope in finding this early, but please take this as a PSA to get skin checkups."

Several Notable Figures Have Been Diagnosed With Some Form Of Cancer Recently
Several other notable figures and dignitaries have recently opened up about their cancer diagnosis.
In late February, British monarch King Charles III shocked many when he revealed he had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer after undergoing surgery for an "enlarged prostate."
Now, a month after his announcement, his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, revealed last Friday that she was diagnosed with cancer after undergoing a successful abdominal surgery. The Princess of Wales is now presently undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
Before King Charles and Kate's announcement, another royal, the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, who previously battled breast cancer, announced that she had been diagnosed with skin cancer.
Away from the royals, Hollywood star Olivia Munn told fans on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Model and actress Christie Brinkley also recently opened up about her skin cancer diagnosis, which her doctors spotted early.
