Amid the allegations made against Nickelodeon in 'Quiet On Set', a video of Miley Cyrus revealing what her schedule was like during her 'Hannah Montana' days is resurfacing.
As you know, the 'Wrecking Ball' singer rose to fame thanks to her role as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel series 'Hannah Montana', which aired from 2006 to 2011.
In addition to her Disney days, Miley Cyrus has pursued a successful music career, releasing numerous albums and singles.
Last year, Cyrus brought fans into what her life was like when she was a pre-teen.
Miley Cyrus Reveals Her Schedule Her During Disney Days
In a TikTok video last year, the former 'Hannah Montana' star told her fans just how hectic her schedule was at the young age of 12.
“We get picked up. 7:15 — I’m on the news. 7:45 — I have another live interview. 8:15 — another interview. 8:45 — another interview. 9:30 to 11 a.m. — meeting with editors, back to the hotel," she said in the video, adding, "OK, I have to do an interview, but the reporters are all fifth-grade students. 1 to 2:30 — me and my dad have a lunch interview. 2:40 — we have to go to the Life magazine photoshoot. 3 to 5 — interview and photoshoot for the Father’s Day issue."
She continued, "Arrive at 6 p.m. for kids’ online interview, then at 6:15, we have another interview. Then the next day starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m. when I fly home to probably go to 'Hannah' [Montana] — that’s on a Saturday and then Monday be back at work in the morning...”
“I’m a lot of things, but lazy ain’t one of them. So… I do think this girl deserves a little endless summer vacation,” Cyrus concluded the video with a laugh.
Fans React To Miley Cyrus's Revelation
After revealing her work schedule during her 'Hannah Montana' days, fans took to the comments section of the video to share their thoughts on what Disney put her through.
"That schedule was INSANE for anyone, [especially] for a kid," one of her followers wrote.
"People wonder why she was so wild in her early 20s, it’s because she missed out on being a real teenager," another expressed.
One user said, "How was this allowed??? This is only in a day. Imagine years on this + doing 71 shows tours + recording albums + doing shows + school everyday + family."
Miley Cyrus Receives Support Amid Her Revelation
Other users commented on Cyrus's video, with one claiming, "The people who put these schedules together for her are prob the same people who were sooo shocked when she went through her “rebel” phase, like."
"That’s SOOOO much for a kid/teenager. Honestly- ALOT for anyone, but a kid can’t really understand what they are getting into v an adult consenting," another said.
One of her followers expressed, "Her schedule really is insane. Just search her tour dates for the Best of Both world tour. She is doing concert almost every day & filming too."
This video is resurfacing after the 'Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV' aired, which made several allegations against Nickelodeon, including a toxic work environment at the hands of former producer Dan Schneider.
Christy Carlson Romano Demands Change For Child Actors
Christy Carlson Romano recently spoke out advocating for a change in the industry after her time with Disney.
“I’m so angry,” Romano said in an interview with Fox News Digital, per The New York Times. “I felt very triggered, I felt very helpless and hopeless in some ways because I was like, ‘This just keeps happening.’ These are people I consider my community.
The former Disney star added, “We may not know each other, and at times a lot of us are isolated from our own experience, because how are we ever going to come together and know, ‘Oh did you actually start at four years old?’ Oh yeah. ‘Did you have a stage parent?’ Oh yeah. It’s like, there’s no, there’s no meeting rooms for recovered child actors.”
Christy Carlson Romano On How Kids Are Being Treated
When asked if she thinks there are any changes being made, she responded, “I don’t think things are changing in that. I think until there’s any kind of changing of the fundamental infrastructure, things can’t change. Because we’re working on outdated information on how kids are being treated on sets."
She also hosts a podcast called 'Vulnerable with Christy Carlson Romano,' where she opens up about her life and her experiences.
